I didn't take this comment seriously at first but yeah it does. All it takes is for people to demand refunds and/or boycott the show to escalate the publicity to the next level. Edit: just saw it on CNN, so we're getting there fast.
People in the US have been getting there for a while now, the [mainstream pop] culture is being forced to catch up despite the Zionist ambitions of the capitalist class.
I think the poll i saw today was 65% support ending aid to Israel across the board. Gotta get those numbers up, but they kinda are going up. It is a class based issue that has shattered containment. Even under a "ceasefire" there have been 1000 killed, [CW] including the teenager hit while aiding someone in a double tap strike, in clear video.
The US establishment is getting weaker every day. It doesnt mean there will be a revolution here, but it certainly makes the global conditions more favorable to the left across the board. As always, the caveat is that the US needs to get through 2028 without going up the fascism ladder (yes there are more rungs).
Does get a toe in the door, though
It gets a toe in as the class consciousness develops, but im expecting a rapid growth of Democratic Socialism in the next 10 years, followed by a slow trend in that direction as they slowly chip away at the bourgeoisie. If the capitalists dont want to negotiate and purge the demsocs from political power entirely, then we are looking at balkanization and maybe revolution. They would be wise to allow it while taking it as slow as possible (possibly coopting movement to the left and stalling it out, but that's increasingly difficult because the US working class have more control over information channels, tha ks to the internet) .
My impression has been that a "class flare up" (not a full class war) domestically will keep the US government occupied and take the edge off of foreign ambitions. Hoping to see revolutionary movements prosper in the imperial periphery where we expect to see that sort of activity. The deeper aspects of socialism will likely be forced upon the US after everyone else has moved onward and upward (maybe in the 2060's?).
