It shouldn't be that surprising that a guy who made a career peddling hate would become a focal point for people sick of that shit. The people yearn to shoot more racists in the neck. The meme cycle will subside shortly and the Kirk memes will diminish until next year (or until someone shoots another racist.)
I would say that its a reflection of the sickness of the times but humans have always had a lust for violence. In any case we are headed in a direction where peace becomes harder and harder to maintain, and the guys on the alt right have far fewer scruples about killing people.
It is very important to remember as an individual that anybody has the power to completely turn off their empathy, and that some people are particularly well practiced at doing it.
Well I’m certainly not going to NOT revel when someone who wants me and my friends dead is, themselves, dead.
Seven is so much less than a million holy shit.
