I would say that its a reflection of the sickness of the times but humans have always had a lust for violence. In any case we are headed in a direction where peace becomes harder and harder to maintain, and the guys on the alt right have far fewer scruples about killing people.
Yeah maybe people have always been sick deep down but even my cynical ass apparently constantly underestimates the depths of that.
It is very important to remember as an individual that anybody has the power to completely turn off their empathy, and that some people are particularly well practiced at doing it.
Yeah, that's precisely what disturbs me
yes him being an awful person means it's healthy to revel in his death, for a year even. hell let's make it decades. let's make our own birthdays a tribute to him being dead, and celebrate it until we're dead. that way we can show his corpse how fucked up it was while it was alive, while 100% retaining everything that makes us different from him.
Well I’m certainly not going to NOT revel when someone who wants me and my friends dead is, themselves, dead.
