Anyone who watched the video knows Ol' Charlie died instantly. It was reported that he was thrown into the backseat of a car with the intent of rushing him to the hospital.

Every time I think about that I imagine the owner of the car like, "godfuckingdammit my fucking upholstery, shit, I'm gonna have to buy a new car, fuck!" and it cracks me up

According to Shapiro, there was someone in Charlie's security team who was part of the ersatz ambulance who talked to someone in Shapiro's team who said he was still alive. It's possible they also contacted Pool.

They were probably very wrong and had no idea how to properly check.
