i doubt they're gonna start putting cane sugar in us coke again. corn lobby would tear out trump's ass on live tv. they tolerate the mexican coke thing but i think fully switching back would be a bridge too far.

Convert corn overproduction to ethanol instead, simple as.

Oil companies are somewhat famously having a few problems right now continuing to supply fuel, I think they'd be okay with it.

i doubt they’re gonna start putting cane sugar in us coke again

last july trump did actually say coca-cola would be switching to real sugar; after initially declining to confirm anything coca-cola said they would make coke with real sugar available alongside HFCS coke... which apparently happened in october in "select U.S. markets":

Coca-Cola Company's Chief Financial Officer John Murphy said during an interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday, Oct. 21, that supply chain challenges are limiting the rollout.

"It’s going to be a measured roll-out,” Murphy told Bloomberg. “There is only a certain amount of cane sugar available in the United States.”

Has anyone actually seen this in person? As far as I can tell they only released it in 6 packs of 8 oz glass bottles in a few cities for a couple of months, interspersed with the HFCS ones on the shelves.

I haven't found any confirmation that anyone has seen a single one since December, either.

What if there were to be a night of long scythes and all the corn was cut down?
