Addendum: My initial reaction to the reccomendation to "go to a gym bro" was one of suprised mirth. However upon further reflection it is very sad the way many transmasc people must do just this in order to access lifesaving HRT. Its not funny and they deserve better. (The situation is more complicated than that apparently but Ive edited this comment enough times.
Getting T from the gymbros is actually the go-to for transmasc DIY, but yeah it's talked about very little that microdoses of testosterone can have their place in transfem HRT as well
Wait for real? Thats fucked up but makes sense since its a controlled substance in most places. Its actually really sad how transmascs need to find dealers in order to do DIY and I did not realize this till now.
It is actually a material advantage for transmascs, since there is a large non trans market, there's lots of it, and relatively easily available too. If you want to use diy-estradiol, the market only consists of other transfems, so we have to rely on (also trans) homebrewers and specialised online sellers. Our diy supply is far more culnerable to disruptions.
Not really tho? Trans girls had to set all DIY sources up ourselves, the number of vendors is much smaller, in my country there are zero official injectable estrogen medications that are not custom-made in a handful of pharmacies, all of that is different for testosterone.
