It worked best when YT had banner ads instead of video ads. Today you get Wix rolled for a minute or two before you get to the Rick.

I watch YouTube on a TV, as the good lawd intended, not on a pocket screen.
Then God's sake, pay the $13 a month. You get YouTube music included, which has damn near everything.
