Cooling cycle is scifi stuff <3
In the lab I worked in, most of our [redacted to avoid doxing myself] were cooled just with the refrigeration cycle. Didn't get nearly as cold as you get with liquid hydrogen, but still cool stuff. I was a helping hand with some of the repairs, but I don't think I ever had any clue what was actually going on.
Right? What do you mean we can move heat by repeatedly squeezing a gas?
I like learning new things and while the refrigerant cycle repeats over and over again it's nice to see new things. The courses I do are online with a simulation portion that lets me interact with the machines but other than a brief intro and some quizzes there isn't much theory I learn that from the HVAC school podcast really good to put on during drives or walks
