I've tried to make sense of it too. All I can think of is that it's a "You're part of the club now" thing. A gross power play that keeps them all bizarrely on the same page? Maybe something to do with their bizarre fixation with power over others? Could be something as petty as "We are going to prove to ourselves how above the common law we are by doing the most heinous shit possible"?

Who the hell knows, but there can't be a nice reason for it and I hope hell exists to give them what they deserve because no punishment on Earth is enough for r*pists
