Would you also recommend a second hand bike helmet to complete the look?

For the benefit of anyone who doesn't know; bike helmets lose their ability to protect after a single fall/crash. They can have microfractures that you cannot see such that 2nd hand bike helmets must always be assumed to be compromised.
Be cool, don't wear a helmet
(for slow speed general transit that is. helmets are essential for racing, bmx and mountain biking)
