I think that the "blow bubba" comment was probably just a stupid boomer joke. The best part? That's Trump's best defence here.
But, in saying so, he'd be admitting that the email correspondence is true and happened.
Or I guess he could just say none of it is real, but that's stretching reality quite thin.
I think it becomes less of a joke and more of a "they're referencing something specific" with the Get Hard joke and reference right after
