When I say that Mormons are one of the most dangerous and insipid elements of USAan life, a lot of people think I'm weird, but they're not good folks

They will be one of the strongest opponents to a revolutionary force that emerges in the States

[–] picklemeister@hexbear.net 19 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

the most realistic part of fallout lore was always the mormons surviving nuclear apocalypse as a more or less intact independent polity

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 4 points 3 weeks ago

Yup, would have been weird seeing the Mormon Super Mutants

Absolutely, I have no words strong enough to express their combination of theory-gary, blob-no-thoughts, not-listening and sus-torment

[–] BurgerPunk@hexbear.net 8 points 3 weeks ago

Mornons turned America into a religion. That should make it clear just how dangerous they are

[–] redchert@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 3 weeks ago

They are the most culturally dynamic white people in america, they have massive influence over the cultural & media landscape - look how many actors and singers were mormon. Hell even the secret services recruit massively from mormon communities.

I feel like I need to tell my son I will never snitch on him now

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 33 points 3 weeks ago

If you see ~~someone~~ your son ~~shoplifting~~ assassinating a right wing media figure, no you didnt

[–] tocopherol@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago

My parents basically told me that as a kid and it did make me feel more secure in life, if you're a parent or friend of a real one it's good to remind them you would never rat them out.

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 21 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

The ends justify the means I guess shrug-outta-hecks

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 34 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Does Charlie Kirk's end justify the memes, though

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 27 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah I mean the shithead's dead and we are getting blamed either way so trying to discern whether or not he is a groyper is a purely academic exercise for us

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 17 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I just wanted to do a funny play on the phrase lol

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 6 points 3 weeks ago

It was funny for sure lol

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago

honestly this is all just so fucking stupid i feel compelled to explain it way more than if it was "normal"

[–] BabyTurtles@hexbear.net 37 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Cop Priest unironically right out of 40k

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 21 points 3 weeks ago

tbf it's also out of a substantial amount of western history, which I guess is signaled by 40k having "inquisitors" and so on.

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 37 points 3 weeks ago

You mean paladins?

[–] Leon_Grotsky@hexbear.net 14 points 3 weeks ago
