Imagine if valve was trying to implement AI agents to assist you finding a game to buy. Think of all the investor cash they're leaving on the table by not actively destroying their platform with bloat that does nothing.
I finished crosscode, and have been plinking a little time into ballxpit and power wash simulator 2 every day.
And just started metaphor refantazio today, that will be my main game for the next month or 3.
I literally had a customer today come in and start to scream at me because we didn't have a product that was in the flyer. I told her I was sorry but the product is actually discontinued and don't know why it was chosen for the ad. She looked like she wanted to scream her face off at me for why I chose to put them in the ad... And it was like hey, go talk to customer service to try and figure out how to talk to head office because I make twenty fucking bucks an hour. I'm not getting yelled at because you can't buy a fucking Lego set.

They're also almost always driving too fast for the conditions. Everyone speeding constantly is a huge issue for causing accidents.
Iirc it's basically delayed over ten years or something insane so you get like 10% of it each year. Barely even a bonus really.

And then it devolves in some mix of that and sinophobic comments about how sure china sucks but so does Palantir... Before descending into complete China bad and evil for things that someone heard from another guy like down the road, and then others who totally live in China and can confirm they all work 14 hour days for pennies while xi is out there beginning DPRK mark 2, now with Chinese characteristics.

The best part of the old alien sci Fi crap was how it totally wasn't about metaphors! It was just about a gross alien murdering people in cool sci Fi land. With graphic detail! And also cool but weird robots dudes who had white blood, and did a fancy knife trick that totally doesn't get done way too often by idiots. Now you're telling me I gotta think about the movie just in the main text of the movie. Fucking libs.
Leaving the froth behind, it has been hilarious to see artists realizing they cannot rely on subtext anymore to tell stories because the right wing are so stupid as to miss it every time. So now it's fairly obvious, subtext is often just the text, and they hate that they have to confront their terrible opinions or otherwise just end up hating a significant chunk of art being produced in the now. Usually they just decide to call it bad and opine for golden days of film where they could happily misunderstand the point of the movie.
