Been playing everspace 2, it's like an arcade space sim with Diablo arpg loot system to upgrade your ship. The story is been nothing special, but it has lots of progression mechanics that make number go up feel nice as you shoot space laser at space ships.

Just been debating what game to dig into next, I have stellar blade (I have no idea if it's good or just a Gooner game), the first berserker khazan, and the trails in the sky remake (I have played the original so not really rushing into it).

I have been considering more blue prince, I'm at the stage where I need to bring three things into a throne room in a single run, so we'll see if I can build the endurance to make that happen.

Yeah we're at the point where if you aren't making 30 an hour you're probably barely getting by and almost certainly do not have any health coverage.

It's dimension 20, a live play DnD show hosted by Brennen Lee Mulligan, that season was like in a brain city or something and he got to just dump a bunch of bio science facts as part of his character. I haven't watched it because I find Hank insufferable most of the time because he's such a turbo lib.

But at what cost?

I have finished Clair obscur expedition 33, I didnt do all the act 3 things, mostly didn't do the endless tower, or finding Simon (whoever that is).

My verdict, it's a fun game, well made, but the story is classic jrpg trash. Specifically this one owes a debt to ffx. The twist specifically takes the wind out of the principle plot you're introduced to, and shifts it to something centred on family trauma (which I really do not care for). While it does make sense of a world that makes no sense, it's unsatisfying for me.

Basically, I can understand why people adore the game, but I feel about it as I do for people who exclaimed that ffx was the greatest ever, or those who exclaimed about ff7 being the greatest. They're all fairly mid and your first one will hit you hard.

They only ever attempt ground invasions with armor and air support. It's so much easier to invade when you can hide behind a tank that can't blow up. Of course the tank drivers probably hate that all the infantry is cowards who flee like rats whenever an attack starts.

No wonder American cops are such scared little babies if these guys are responsible for training them lol

Unfortunately they're probably firing the in-depth reporting part and keeping all the terrible editorialized crap that we hate on.

Started expedition 33, and it's clearly good. Just in chapter 2 now and enjoying it. But it's been hyped to such astronomical levels that I don't think it'll ever reach them. It seems like a very standard jrpg with a profoundly weird setting and a fun combat system. I'm playing on easy so I don't have to waste time grinding too much to get through it.

We'll see if gets really good at some point or if it jumps into excellence at some point.
