Yes china is so powerful that suddenly gamers will abandon their no politics talk when a Chinese developer asks to not discuss politics in their sponsorship deal. Something I'd imagine most developers/publishers put in and nobody cares. But suddenly china does it (not really because this is one developer from China) and well now we have to bring up the bad evil china genocide and Hong Kong and Taiwan and just reveal we have the intellectual depth of napkin soaked in our own piss.

And the developer should be dragged for trying to hide their politics and their abuses to women in the studio, but of course gamers and libs cannot actually complain effectively because they only have blinders for china itself is bad.

They probably could be profitable without their sugar daddy. But they would have to make serious cutbacks, like they couldn't pay all the talent millions of dollars a year. It would actually have to worry about staff as well, they couldn't just rely on overpaying people for a year before they quit in disgust at being a part of such a heinous organization that is basically against everyone except extreme right wing religious positions.

So basically daily wire would implode without the buckets of cash they are handed. Oh also they couldn't afford to buy shit loads of ad space across all of social media if they were limited by subscriber donations. Which means they couldn't find more people watch because meema isn't seeing ad clips on Facebook video anymore.

Unsurprisingly over on you had dork gamers decrying the developer for denying the profits to the IP owner. Like literally arguing that the game would not have been made if publisher has not provided funding... But like it definitely wouldn't have been made if the developer hadn't made it. Some people are so far gone.

I've really been enjoying ranged touch network of podcasts lately. They have: Baldur's Gate replay podcasts (mages and murder dad's), Stephen King book podcasts (just King things), fallout games podcast (too much future), video game academia discussion (game studies study buddies), sci fi/fantasy book club (shelved by genre), A homestar runner retrospective podcast (homestuck made this world)

I think they're leftists, they're certainly anti-liberals at least, and they are funny and knowledgeable about things and I always learn more about anything when I listen to their content.

You gotta make your own tomato sauce. Me and my partner get a thing of feta, a quart of grape tomatoes, some onion and garlic. Bake for like an hour with olive oil and pepper and other spices you like. Blend that up and serve with a protein and type of pasta you like.

There was lots of Atari/intellivision games my dad and uncles had when I was little. But first first? I just found it very peculiar that they were complaining about how they had abducted all these female observers, the people who were supposed to be watching Gaza for attacks. Like how did they all get fucking caught? Weren't they watching? They suck so much that they get their asses captured and then the media is like "they targetted the women!" No they took out the sentries on guard because they're at war with them. Are they supposed to ignore women soldiers or something?
