Yeah no way any of us could get in, unless we buy a burner phone just to pass border control.

Oh wow, everyone in the replies is really mad, as if they expected Islamist fundamentalists to be big communism enjoyers.

Thanks for the info!

Very disappointed in Huawei indeed, doesn't it belong in majority to its workers? Why wouldn't they grant themselves some paid leaves?

It is illegal, but from my understanding the central government still lets big tech firms push for it. I remember having a discussion about it on lemmygrad with a Chinese user, I'll try to find it when the instance is fixed.

Japan-US-Philippines hold coast guard drills as a show of unity against China

Man I'm so disappointed by the Philippines. It would benefit so much from have close ties with China because of their proximity, and yet it's the country that's the most vassalized by the USA.

Everyone there is persuaded that China wants to conquer them because of NED outlets like Rappler, even though they haven't shown a single sign of willingness to mess with them.

If they actually wanted to take over the Philippines, the country is already covered with guerilla bases that China could so easily finance and equip with high tech weapons and drone. And at this point I really want them to actually do that because what's the point of not doing it if everyone over there already expects it anyway?
