I just run some simple services, such as Audiobookshelf or Wallabag, behind a reverse proxy. After reading the other comments, it does not look like there would be any benefit for my use case.

Yes, I have always used a reverse proxy which seems to eliminate the need for multiple IP addresses. It seems like having multiple IP addresses just creates additional cost and complexity, but I have seen many VPS providers offer multiple IP addresses, so I was curious if there was a use case that I was not aware of.

My VPS provider is running a promotion where I can get up to 5 additional public IPv4 addresses for a one-time cost of $25 each. I have always only used a single public IP address per VPS. Would there be any advantage of having additional public IP addresses?

I know some people do not consider a VPS self-hosting, but this is the most relevant community I could think of and the question is also applicable for homelabs as well.

I’ll take it if it means finally being able to buy replacement PS VR2 controllers.

Proton Drive does not support Linux…

I think there is early beta support in Rclone, but I have seen many reports of it not working well.

I am currently trying Wallabag and like it so far. Being able to self-host it is definitely a plus. I also like how clean and simple it is compared to how bloated Pocket has become, but it does not have the official integration with Kobo. It looks like there is a way to use Wallabag by installing KOReader. I will look more into that if I decide to stick with Wallabag long-term.

Pocket will be shutting down on July 8, 2025. This is very disappointing as I love the compatibility with my Kobo.

I registered when it released, but never really understood the purpose of the program. I still have not earned enough points for a $5 gift card. I was disappointed when they shut down Sony Rewards, but Stars is completely useless as far as I am concerned.

At least they didn’t call it Fox+.

Brave uses their own index. Qwant and Ecosia have partnered to build their own index as well.

Prepaid plans are great and have been getting more competitive over the last few years. Postpaid does not make sense unless you need at least 3 or 4 lines.

Taxes and fees are no longer included in these plans and are not covered by the price guarantee, so prices will likely still increase in the 5 year period. How far the “uncarrier” has fallen.
