Democratic party political organizing depends on showing people how we can concretely improve our lives and how liberal democracy serves our collective interests. We need a mass movement in order to be effective by getting people to vote, so we bring in as many people as possible.

Marxist political organizing seems to rely on tactics that only work on a small percentage of the population and alienate everyone else. Maybe marxists should try a method that isn't sanctimoniousness and inventing words like "chud" and using "lib" as a derogatory.

Can you even hear yourself? You're so full of shit it's dribbling out of your bloody mouth and you're wholly oblivious to it. Get the fuck out of here with your liberal anti-vegan nonsense and go worship your cringe lib idol Contrapoints elsewhere.

Thank you for the report. I sure as hell am not going to watch it, but there is something that wiggles at the back of my brain that wonders how glaring and rank her increasing lib-ness has become now. From what you say, it sounds like it's just another run-of-the-mill lib-leaning (and overlong) video essay.

regret to inform you:

Ziggy Marley feels very close to Israel. He's married to Orly, an Israeli woman, and they have three children: A girl named Judah Victoria, a boy called Gideon, and a baby - Abraham Selassie.

Marley admits that, having no other choice, he celebrates all the Jewish holidays and is very jealous of our culture.

"The history of our connection to the roots of Israel, to David, Solomon, goes way before I met my wife," Marley says. "My father, my Rastafari culture, has a tight link to the Jewish culture. We have a strong connection from when I was a young boy and read the Bible, the Old Testament.

I know this is not at all a popular opinion, and I'm reluctant to say it even here on hexbear. But daily showering really is overrated. It can also be bad for your skin microbiome, especially if you use soap with antibacterial properties.

Also hair that goes unwashed for good lengths of time will always be healthier hair than frequently-washed hair, even if it's with the most expensive bourgsie ass shit shampoo at the salon. Just as an example, you know all those shampoo ads for dealing with split ends? Yeah, just don't use the shampoo/conditioner at all, letting your natural hair oils build up, conditioning your hair and your "split ends" will be gone or at least markedly better than they would be with any overpriced garbage hair product that promises to cure them.

Maybe you already know this, but the term redneck, used derogatorily, has roots in anticommunism. It's not a coincidence that RED is part of the insult.

If self immolation is "doing a liberalism" then I really wish more libs would do liberalism. Fact is, it is absolutely not liberalism. It is in the most literal sense an act of ultimate self sacrifice, even if that sacrifice is almost totally ineffectual in the face of an uncaring, unimpressed enemy and an alienated, thoroughly propagandized society. It is tragic that this person was so extremely alienated from any kind of community that could have channeled their willingness to sacrifice themselves in a way that would have made a vastly bigger, more meaningful impact. But it's hardly surprising when you consider the alienated reality we're living in, and definitely not deserving of derision. Being cold and condescending about this person's desperation and even their courage to do what they did for what we all here would agree is a good and just cause (freeing Palestine and opposing the oppression and genocide by Israel) is disgusting. You are the one being a lib here.

For the record, I also have no sympathy for US troops. Fuck them. Unless they do everything they can, even give up their lives to fight against the system or entity they joined once they realize what it really is. And even though it may have been sadly misguided, this guy did just that.

but that's what I imagine US Empire will look like in a few hundred years.

I can never take anyone seriously who talks about any of the current geopolitical entities still existing in "hundreds" of years, let alone the already-in-early-collapse US empire specifically. As others have said, collapse is (more often than not) a process, but that process can happen extremely rapidly if the medium it exists in allows for it or even demands it. That medium is global society and it is a vastly different kind of entity now than it was a century ago, even more different than it was before the industrial revolution, and barely comparable to it was around the time the Roman Empire that often erroneously gets used as a metric of comparison. Sometimes people like to refer to how it took more than a century for it, or some of a number of older empires to fall, but they aren't accounting for how different the material conditions are now, such as the conditions that allow for information to travel instantaneously to opposite ends of the globe (to name one obvious example) and how significantly these differences inevitably increase the rate of societal and political change.

The rates of technological, social, and environmental change are all increasing, and not just as a linear increase, it's exponential. By the turn of the next century the world will be entirely unrecognizable from what it is today. Climate change alone will ensure that, with mass migrations (and die-offs) happening on a scale humanity has never seen. That much is unavoidable. It's insane to think the US will still exist in a few hundred years. The face of the planet even, in terms of the biosphere, will be completely different as a result of the ecological collapse wrought by climate change, and some people here think the current unstable political entities will survive that? It never ceases to surprise me when communists, ostensibly with an understanding of historical materialism, fail to get this.

edit: I don't mean to go off on you in particular, keepcarrot, I generally really like your comments. This is just something that bugs me when I see it come up here, in part because it makes me feel like even my fellow comrades don't understand how dire things are now in a way that they weren't in the past and on a scale that wasn't even registered in the past.

The first one is definitely a enactment of this:

hesitation-2

And the third one is, as others have mentioned, Sarah Connor

Let's pretend they do matter - what are they doing to fix people's perceptions that he's doing squat? Nothing. They're just banking on his "achievements" speaking for themselves instead of doing any EFFECTIVE propaganda to showcase their success.

Fuck Biden and his NON-achievments which can all be shown to be half measures at best or sheer bullshit lies at worst, unlike the many real and genuinely spectacular achievements of the USSR during the space race that they objectively won. The big difference in this rhetorical comparison is that the USSR isn't around anymore to even attempt a restoration or recognition of the epitome of real material human technological accomplishment they made. No one is "banking on their achievements" like they are for Biden's lies and no one except shitposters on a niche leftist site are doing "effective propaganda to showcase" the USSR's success. Only well researched history will do that now.

What a dogshit and misleading comparison.
