I do drink soda on occasion but I can't afford it normally so I drink water (free) 
Ah but you're not considering the external costs of drinking water like when you get cancer from all the heavy metals in tap water. Clearly soda is the healthy choice! 
Yummy heavy metals go nicely with the flavored microplastics. Also we have a well.

When we bought our house it came with a fridge. It has an ice machine and chilled filtered water dispenser. I take it for granted
