So proud that my tiny province managed to make the list as the only Canadian warning, great lol
It would be Regina
They didn’t really format this well since Florida inconspicuously slid itself into the Colorado section
I was looking for Florida, as I expected it to just say "all of it"
To unload, just unlatch the back doors and do a sharp turn, God will take care of the rest
Florida Man gets around.
Anyone know why they suggest not stopping? Bunch of these seem like chain gas stations. Bad service, dangerous towns?
I googled just a couple random locations and all had reviews mentioning robberies, tweakers, and lack of sanitation... probably that.
Oof, yeah that makes sense. I made that comment before looking in particular at Indiana. 2 Gary locations. So yeah that checks out.
Just two locations in Gary? Now that's surprising.
On the top of the page it says:
"The following truck stops pose a risk for drivers and their loads; therefore, L Brands Asset Protection requests that truck drivers DO NOT STOP at these locations"
I assume this means theft, assault, robbery, etc.
The Love's and Flying J mentioned in central CA are both skeezy as fuck while also being FULL of people constantly
Went inside for less than 5 minutes one time and came back to someone trying to steal shit from the back of my work truck. What shit? The entire 4 chamber fuel tank setup.
I know this is an Oregon community, but it's good to see some California central valley representation. Good to see we can still compete for our rightful place at the bottom of the barrel.
Lol, Texas is horrible
It's Shithole Country.
Everything's bigger in Texas, even the shitholes
Texas is a mess.
Everything sucks bigger in Texas.
Bruh I stop in Troutdale every time I go to Portland. What happens there?
Meth
Wow
Only recognize a couple of them... and yeah I agree.
“Get plugged into the supply chain security industry, because the theft of loads of avocados is just the tip of the iceberg,” Ramon said. “If [Sandoval] were to harden her supply chain against that particular method of theft, the cargo thieves are just going to target her with the next step in the sophistication ladder, so to speak. There are a dozen different modus operandi with varying sophistication levels between the one that she experienced and the ones that we’re dealing with right now in places like California and Kentucky.”
That poses an interesting question. They could go all out and spend tens of thousands on security. But at what point does the math not add up, and they are spending more per year than their losses are on average? At that point, should they just let it happen?
the occasional load of explosive avocados would slow them down.. i don't know how expensive it is to disguise explosives as avocados, but the important thing is to get the word out there among the avocado jackers.. this forces them to add security measures in response.. avocado scanners aren't cheap..
Congrats to Houston, Dallas, and Albuquerque for the top 3 most frequent occurrences of sketchy truck stops! At least Texas is covered by Buccee's.
Buccees apparently does not allow tractor trailers. Found that out the hard way.
Oh no - towed? (Or woken up?)
Just asked to leave by an employee as I pulled around to the back.
Damn, that's good to know...
No Ohio. Impressive.
How the hell are there no New Jersey locations on this list !?
No West Memphis? This is an incomplete list. I literally watched a guy get stabbed and have his truck stolen in the fuel aisle in broad daylight at the Hook in West Memphis.
I love how everything says Boston and New York are SOOOooo dangerous, but there are no "do not stop" locations anywhere in New England.
I knew St Louis was going to be on this list 100%. Can confirm, what a shit hole that place has turned into. I never felt so unsafe to get out of my car to pump gas. When you have to have a police officer stand by the door of a freakin' gas station, you know you should have waited for the next stop.
Really? Weird.
