Huh, I never knew Tifa was 15 in the original scene. My just-world-fallacious brain at the time thought that because Cloud was old enough to be in the military in that arc that they must both be adults. This was also then inherently meaningless because the graphics at the time were worse than Tomb Raider and there was no perceptible sexualization, but now that they're good enough for sexualization to be possible I have but one response to these freaks complaining about not sexualizing a teenager:

Yeah I always assumed she was 18 or so in the flashback because Cloud was military age and enlisted, like you said when it's polygon blocks for graphics it's hard to tell and they're already chibi to begin with.
