Just Dance Vance is going to learn a hard lesson about why trying to chameleon in and ingratiate yourself with a narcissistic cult leader doesn't end on a good note.

JD should be looking at Mike Pence to understand his future. Trump will let his mob drag you to the gallows if you try to step out from under his shadow.

[–] Hanrahan@lemmy.world 38 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Did Vance even say thank you ?

[–] maxthemummer@lemmus.org 4 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

Said please and thank you.

[–] ElChinchilla@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Probably more like "glrrrrrblgherr" as trumps shit covered balls smacked his chin

A couch is more acceptable than small children though. Yet here we are...

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 6 points 9 hours ago

Grabbed them by the pillows!

[–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 23 points 13 hours ago (2 children)

He also decided that an appropriate career move would be getting embarrassed daily as the whipping boy of a dimensia-addled pedophile.

[–] CedricWhaley@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 hour ago

Kind of have to wonder if he was betting on trump dying midway through the term.

[–] nullspace@lemmy.world 28 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair, I don't blame him.

[–] irgendjemand@lemmy.world 20 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Republicans and Democrats agree on one thing.... Fuck J.D. Vance

[–] kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)
[–] CoffeeSoldier@sh.itjust.works 9 points 11 hours ago

The couch never consented.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 51 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Trump has no intention of leaving in 2029. He isn't building that ballroom and golf course for the next guy. We're going to have to drag him out of the White House in shackles, if he's lucky.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 13 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

cholesterol is gonna save democracy.

[–] ElChinchilla@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Cholesterol needs to get on it.

[–] CedricWhaley@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

Big PR opportunity for heart disease.

[–] Randelung@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago

Then the smart thing would be to keep up appearances and endorse away.

Oh, I hear it. smart.

👆

When you make rules that say you can’t be prosecuted for what you do in office (fuck the SCoTUS trash that allowed that) there is every incentive to not leave office so you can keep doing illegal shit with no consequences.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 6 points 13 hours ago

there can be only one /s

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 23 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Of course he’s not gonna endorse cuz he’s gonna run in 2028…

[–] IEatDaFeesh@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

He might not make it in this term tbh

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 10 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Don’t do that, don’t give me hope…

[–] Obviouslywrong@lemmy.world 6 points 9 hours ago

For an old fat guy there's a pretty high actuarial chance they don't make it another few years. But the point of running is that being a presidential candidate by itself makes you able to run pacs and take in bribe money. So they will be running for president for the next term no matter what.

[–] DeadEndLink@lemmy.ca 4 points 13 hours ago

Well, he hasn't had his goons try to hang him yet

[–] jpreston1986@lemmy.world 48 points 22 hours ago (9 children)

it's funny to me that people are pretending like he's not just going to run again. He wants to be a dictator just like his favorite people, pootin and kim jong un. And all his stupid mouth breathing knuckle dragging supporters will just line up with whatever dumb bullshit excuse is fed to them "but presidents are only limited to two consecutive terms!" "but FDR!" "but he's a war-time president!"

There is no level of duplicitous stupidity these traitors won't stoop to.

[–] mkwt@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

You probably already know this, but at the time when FDR ran for and won 4 terms, the two term rule was just a customary practice. It wasn't written into the constitution.

After FDR died, Americans wrote up the two term rule as the 22nd amendment, and adopted it into the constitution.

[–] AngryRedHerring@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

And then there are the people who actually think he's going to run, when what he's probably going to try to do is declare himself Perma president

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 6 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I think he's likely to not run again. Why run if you can just abolish the election?

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 4 points 10 hours ago

Even the Norks, Russia, and China hold elections it's just that they are Kabuki theater. But it helps grant legitimacy. Now mind you I one hundred percent think him and his supporters could try to cancel the election, but that would also likely backfire in some way. Probably a statement of non recognition of the feds by most states and a cutting off of interactions with the feds.

[–] NEZ27@lemmy.zip 8 points 18 hours ago

Yeah he's been openly suggesting a 3rd term for a while now. Selling hats and other merch. There have been multiple officials throughout the past 2 years publicly comment that they are looking for ways around the term limits. Every justification is some weasely attempt at semantics. Every criticism is met with 'he isn't serious' or some such hand wave.

Yet here we are. Some folks still pretending like it ain't plain as day.

Has Jeffery Dahmer Vance tried bribing him?

[–] Typotyper@sh.itjust.works 7 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Article 25 the old bastard. This way trump goes down in flames (have him commuted mentallh deficient hehehe) And Vance gets an extra term which doesn't count to 2 term limit

[–] farmgineer@nord.pub 5 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I don't want vance at all, but I have a feeling this will at least be attempted depending on how things go in the elections.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 156 points 1 day ago (13 children)

Yeah I mean Trump wants to run in 2028, why would he endorse someone else?

“Who do you want in the White House when you leave?”

“When I what!?”

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 68 points 1 day ago (3 children)

He has no intention of transferring power peacefully to anyone.

Can we FUCKING FINISH THIS ELECTION FIRST BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT 2028?

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Homie attempted a coup to stay in power. I’ll be thinking about the next presidential election until he’s gone.

JD sold whatever soul he possessed for power, but he remains a terminal loser.
