We're currently Cat-Sitting for family members, this is Nami! She barks little meows like a dog, and absolutely loves staring out the window all day. :)

Taken last week, apparently it posed somewhat majestically

Nerds still are smarter than us.

Unfortunately a cult of managers has arisen to rule over the nerds and they hype with an iron fist.

I hate how this is phrased as "redundancies". IGN literally JUST bought these outlets, they haven't had time to dig into and examine the organizations they acquired; it's just straight into the Corpo playbook of "lay people off and let the dust settle where it may".

These are people, not "redundancies". They contributed in the old organization, and they could contribute in the new, but they never even got the chance.

First time spotting at the feeder. Nice!

Before the bread price fixing scandal broke, if anyone had asked Galen if they were manipulating the price of bread, he would have shown this same level of deflection and never admitted in a million years what they were doing. If we asked now if there were any other price fixing scandals waiting to be discovered, they'd deny and deflect regardless of the truth.

Now he just wants us to trust him, and take him at his word? This billionaire has given everyone zero reasons to trust him, and many reasons to do the opposite.

Yup, it's a little known secret of our economy that roughly 15% of the populace makes over $10,000 a month evaluating restaurants, aka, eating at them and filing reports.

Those reports are essential for us all, and I for one have been perpetually grateful for the knowledge I have gleaned from them.

Our 12 year old Bombay cat, Hypurrtia, and the sounds she makes.

"Hypurrtia" is intended to be a cat pun of "Hypatia".

I hope her sounds fill your hearts with joy

Posted this in a random thread yesterday but figured it probably deserved more views. This is from a rainy day last August, near the peak at Pretty River Valley Provincial Park, Ontario, on the Niagara Escarpment. I watched the clouds rolling in, and then they rolled into and through the forest, creating an absolutely magical scene.

Hikers are welcome. Trails are very poorly marked. Start at the bottom of the valley for maximum elevation gain. :)

Doesn't seem that insane. First she met a guy on the internet and moved in with him, then she was a stripper, then she wrote a blog? It's not like she was a conscripted child soldier in Africa and escaped to a refugee camp or something.

"As you all know, we have worked hard over the last year to run our business as sustainably as possible. Unfortunately, we still have work to do to rightsize our company and I regret having to share that we are taking the painful step to reduce our headcount by just over 500 people across Twitch," Clancy wrote.

Cripes I hate corporate newspeak. "Rightsize" isn't a word, and I hope I never encounter it again.

White grass planets are nice, but pink grass is so much more chill. Add to that blue-green seas, pink skies, and a wonderful view of a neighboring ringed planet + moon, and you've got a premier destination for anyone visiting the Galaxy 59 core. Sure, there are some minor storms every now and again, but the pink serpent-butterflies and blue-white nighttime nebulae make up for any intermittent weather inconvenience. Visit today!
