The best moment to delete your Twitter account was ten years ago. The second best is now.

It's by design. If you want to hire bottom of the barrel, you can't have any standards or loops to jump through, or you might lose applicants. As a bonus, people who recognize this won't even apply. As another bonus, articles keep spawning that make ICE out to be a badly run organisation of idiots, when in reality it's actually exactly what it's meant to be and run by ruthless fascists.

Stupid rules like "only refuse once". You have to refuse once because it's considered polite to offer, even if they don't want to, so you have to refuse once. If they actually meant it they can now go "oh, but I insist", at which point you should accept, otherwise it's impolite to refuse.

Attacking how communication is done instead of what's being communicated is a form of subversion the CIA uses to mess with foreign actors. The left and its tolerance towards others (e. g. misgendering by accident) is very susceptible to such attacks and they've let themselves be decimated on the public stage because of it.

I have a watch that shows binary time. Two rows, I think 12 hour cycle, no seconds. Pretty easy to read, honestly. Also an absolute nerd gadget and I loved it.

Germany: no unless same gender. Which opens uncomfortable doors in combination with being able to change your legal gender.

Everything goes through our brains and therefore filters and interpretations. Science doesn't happen if grants are approved and that usually means someone has something to gain. Even then, results are skewed by method and biases.

Science very much does care about our feelings, both individual and collective, every step of the way. That's why there needs to be special care to take them out as much as possible.

Because the current requirements are constant and not like a photography flash just a short but extreme amount. There's no point in putting a few Watt seconds into a capacitor if the power requirement is 2kW for minutes.

Plus

  • power storage is large
  • you need a way to transfer the stored power into the water faster (otherwise why bother), which means thicker coils and more wear

It's been sounding like a dead fan bearing in the rack for a while, there's really old machines in there. Turns out no! The drive did the screeching. I was stunned for a second when the noise stopped upon its removal.

Platter smoke. Don't breathe this!

Hello 👋

We inherited an old sauna from the previous owner of our house and it has the pictured control panel. The left dial I get and the right side of the right dial is runtime, but I've never figured out what the left side does. It doesn't seem to power the oven while running, so I thought it might be a delay timer, but after running out it just stops.

The stickers say "time preset" and "runtime". I don't know what time preset could be.

The model says "Type 10210" if that helps. Google didn't.

Does someone have a similar model or maybe even a manual? Or just a general idea what the timer could be?

Thanks!

Hello!

My parents are moving to Italy and need a network. They only have 4G. I'm a little lost when it comes to UniFi and looking for some feedback if I've thought of everything and the setup works.

I was thinking Cloud Key 2, VPN Router Express, LTE Router UMR, maybe a U6 Lite AP to complement the one integrated into the Router if the range in the latter is insufficient, and a US-8-60W for power since only the cloud key and the AP would be powered using it. If they want cameras, I wanted to upgrade to CK2+, add G5 Bullets and use the US-8-150W instead.

I'm not sure whether I need the VPN router when the LTE router is already a router, too, but apparently the LTE router is not really integrated into the UniFi system. I need an AP, anyway, to the VPN Router is fine I think.

What do you think? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Wait, is the UDR sufficient for the first setup? No cloud key, no vpn router, no switch...
