I was referring to the styled text. I use mdashes myself. But I've hardly ever styled text, let alone so many individual parts.

Plus, it's just so verbose.

LLMs don't use "smart" writing, they mock it.

... was this written by an LLM? It certainly reads like it was.

Too lazy to set up computer again. massgrave.dev will carry me for a few more years, and then it's time for a new build anyway.

I recently started a new job. We use Java. There's a class that does a few things based on explicit arguments only to decide whether to use an FTP or file output, and you supply all parameters yourself. A whole ass Rube Goldberg machine that could be replaced by a single line of Files.writeString.

Also, there's a great video on YT "Stop writing classes" that is incredibly relevant.

It's the lady tasting beer meme for most people for most kinks. Usually paired with post nut clarity.

That term has been thoroughly tainted.

If they follow the US example they'll kidnap him and say it's justified.

I don't know any reason tbh. There's a big train station there and most people only spend a few minutes in Olten. Hardly anyone goes to Olten.

Probably just a consequence of Kantönligeischt; people enjoy dissing neighboring villages, districts, or cantons for no reason.
People from Aargau are said to be bad drivers, people from Bern are said to be slow (as in time). Nobody understands people from Wallis when trying to speak German. There's the Röstigraben (Rösti trench) that culturally splits German and French parts of Switzerland and the Polentagraben (Polenta trench) for German and Italian parts.

Yes, it's just a meme.

It's been sounding like a dead fan bearing in the rack for a while, there's really old machines in there. Turns out no! The drive did the screeching. I was stunned for a second when the noise stopped upon its removal.

Platter smoke. Don't breathe this!

Hello 👋

We inherited an old sauna from the previous owner of our house and it has the pictured control panel. The left dial I get and the right side of the right dial is runtime, but I've never figured out what the left side does. It doesn't seem to power the oven while running, so I thought it might be a delay timer, but after running out it just stops.

The stickers say "time preset" and "runtime". I don't know what time preset could be.

The model says "Type 10210" if that helps. Google didn't.

Does someone have a similar model or maybe even a manual? Or just a general idea what the timer could be?

Thanks!

Hello!

My parents are moving to Italy and need a network. They only have 4G. I'm a little lost when it comes to UniFi and looking for some feedback if I've thought of everything and the setup works.

I was thinking Cloud Key 2, VPN Router Express, LTE Router UMR, maybe a U6 Lite AP to complement the one integrated into the Router if the range in the latter is insufficient, and a US-8-60W for power since only the cloud key and the AP would be powered using it. If they want cameras, I wanted to upgrade to CK2+, add G5 Bullets and use the US-8-150W instead.

I'm not sure whether I need the VPN router when the LTE router is already a router, too, but apparently the LTE router is not really integrated into the UniFi system. I need an AP, anyway, to the VPN Router is fine I think.

What do you think? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Wait, is the UDR sufficient for the first setup? No cloud key, no vpn router, no switch...
