Ah I see, emudeck added shadps4 support 2 years ago. Yeah I've been playing on shadps4 too until this weekend. This is cool because it's significantly faster and has some added features.

I'm also pissed off, for to the mod potential. People are going to play it at 21:9 and then use the extreme aspect ratio to corner peak the entire game or something stupid. And then say the game was boring.

thank you comrade i didn't want to silence the Bloodborne fanbase (I promise you I'll play it - my friend's been begging me to and gets mad at me because I've played Demon Souls/DS1-3, Sekiro, and Elden Ring so it is the only modern FromSoftware game I really haven't played through at least once but 
Soulslikes suck even if they're Dark Souls or Elden Ring. I'm gonna play the 30fps version though as God intended on my PS5 - finally a game to play)

Is bbport better than this? I can't tell but bbport has a lot more information on its repo about how it actually works.
EDIT: it is sick though, I just switched from shadps4 to bbport since I'm just interested in bloodborne, not ps4 emulation, and the performance is better it's great!
its all based on shadps4. it's kind of annoying that they're all calling it "native" because it isn't native, it's a translation layer
I don't know enough to meaningfully distinguish between these unfortunately. It makes sense to me intuitively that one could get better targeted performance for 1 game than when emulating a generic PS4 "environment" though.
The BBport page says it's "native" in that the instructions run directly on the CPU without per-instruction translation, but also that the project is WINE+DVK bundled and optimized for 1 game. And that it's dependent on the shadps4 renderer.
haven't tested it but other users say fitgirl used an older version of bbport which is what is causing the issues. feel free to try it yourself with the updated version and report back here.

I tried to put that new launcher in the folder and have it recognize it, but it didn't work. Do I have to rename and overwrite the old one? But anyway, I don't plan to play online, my buddy who plays soulslikes hates this game so I'm gonna go it alone. I did try the Fit launcher and that one is working, currently walked past that werewolf at the beginning cause I'm dealing shit dmg.
