Blorp. Also, toilet.
Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world
7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.
8) No Bots.
Posts or comments from bots, LLM's, AIs, Neural Networks, Transformers, or Marvin the Paranoid Android are not welcome in AskLemmy. Real humans only please.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Voyager app on /e/OS - it's good and I made a donation to Voyager as well
For a moment I thought this was gonna be a "where are you from?" type question until I clicked out of curiosity...
Voyager on android. It's good for my usecase. Not much else I can say.
Bathroom
The mobile app Connect for Lemmy.
I tried a handful of apps year ago when I started and this was the best at the time. And it has improved over time, to the point where it is better even than Reddit Is Fun was back in the day.
Eternity. A rare one, judging by the rest of the comments.
Piefed through Connect on mobile. Voyager was throwing out of date errors since my phone is on a very old version of android.
Combination of phone (iOS - voyager) and desktop (arch btw, librewolf).
Earth. Mostly.
vger.app on desktop most of the time.
Connect, mostly. Tho sometimes I use the pawb.social website from my PC. Physically, I use it pretty much everywhere except while driving/biking.
Mobile when I'm away from home. Web when I'm at home.
Sync for Lemmy. Sync for Reddit closed down with the closing of the api and the Sync maker said come here instead. So here I am.
Piefed. Its all the things I like. And the dev is awesome.
Mobile Voyager user here too. I’m mostly pretty happy with it, as it reminds me a lot of Apollo. It would be nice if keywords and link domains I’ve blocked were sorted alphabetically instead of by block date, and if crossposts from communities I’ve blocked were also themselves blocked.
I don’t think I’ve signed into the web version in months, if not at least a year.
I have too many apps on my phone so I haven't looked for a mobile version. Using it from web on both phone and desktop.
You can use voyager on web at vger.app. the app itself is pretty much a web app, but even in a browser it feels like a completely native app.
Summit for Android. It's good and fast. I've tried some web apps, but I always return to Summit.
Toilet.
In fairness, the internet is a series of tubes…
Straight from my ass for your consumption.
You think that's bad, you should see the uriness
Mobile, voyager. Almost always. Though as a community mod Voyager has some weird quirks and I find myself having to resolve some weird cases via desktop.
Voyager. I've been extremely happy with it.
iOS voyager webapp
It works very smoothly, it’s very efficient and without it I wouldn’t browse lemmy as often.
Before I discovered lemmy I was using apollo for Reddit which was exactly what voyager is today. I think the apollo dev allowed voyager to use the code base of Apollo
Boost app
Boost for Lemmy, Android
On mobile with Voyager. I've tried other clients, but I always come back to Voyager.
I use Lemmy from the ~~toilet~~ sorry, I mean I'm on Voyager (F-Droid) on LineageOS!
Right now, from Emacs.
What are you using for that? old.lemmy.zip? I would've thought that wouldn't work since it's behind cloudflare, but I just tried it and it does. Interesting.
I use this: https://codeberg.org/martianh/lem.el
Oh, that's a client that works directly in emacs, I wasn't aware something like that existed! Thank you for sharing. I had assumed you were simply using a web interface in eww.
Voyager on phone for regular use. Then once in a while I log in on the desktop browser to save all my Star Trek memes and dump them on my company Slack.
It looks pretty good everywhere I’ve seen it. It’s a leg up from old Reddit, which was plain but stood the test of time.
VSCode extension.
Phone, boost. Always forget I can also use my desktop browser but honestly I'm so used to Boost it's like it's a completely different website
Really it was Reddit no longer allowing third party apps to use their APIs that got me to look elsewhere and since I had been using Boost for Reddit anyway, and there was also a Boost for Lemmy
I use a web browser on my android tablet 99% of the time. I don't believe in installing many apps to access something a web browser does just fine especially with a limited amount of storage.
web. its pretty much how I prefer to do most things.
Browser. I hate apps, the greedy spying ones spoiled it for them all.
Blorp on a vanity instance :3
Mobile, in browser with desktop mode on.
I'm weird about apps. It's not even a privacy thing really, I just never got into them as a concept.
