It’s worth a try. It’s only a few min to do. My extensions seem to be all from Mozilla and working fine.

The only real difference is it has a bit of a classic FF apathetic and seems to highlight who’s abusing privacy. I can click that off but I like it.

I also use DDG but that’s gone downhill on its results in the last few years.

I don’t dislike discussion, support, tutorials etc. it’s the boring ones who are famous for just recording their day, or the ones that do nothing but shout. Oh the the ones that repeat old mysteries etc and put the stupid suspenseful voices on.

I sound extra old. I just can’t stand grifters.

They are but the amount of repeat content and pure boring waffle is astounding. It’s the boring life stuff. My kids are as bad for watching. Get out and live your life. Not listen to self absorbed airhead who are hero’s in their own heads.

I jumped to LibreWolf this week. Really like it, it looks acat and feels the same. But I trust it more. Been a FF user for over 10 years.

You could always ask someone you see a lot to tell you. There’s likely someone who notices but says nothing. A good communicative buddy system?

My new love of a daily rant. Today it’s People broadcasting their inane lives on YouTube. Why the need? I don’t care and I find it self absorbed at best.

My kids watch that shit and I’m like why do you wanna sit around watching some guy making stupid noises and waffling about his protein intake. I am deffo old.

Good. It’s become a cesspit.

There’s a great comment about prior of addictions. Cigarettes gambling etc. How in the past big money lobbied to ensure consumers were exposed to their message. How they were manipulated. It feels particularly relevant.

They don’t just own the products now they own the platforms that infiltrate every aspect of so many people’s lives. And they simply can’t be trusted not to manipulate…either for money or power.

We as a society society have decoupled from religion, from traditional media etc in the past. Viva la revolution.

“feel American as in the spirt of anti-authoritarianism… or what being American was supposed to be“

I don’t know what is the bigger shock… that it isn’t (and likely never was)
Or.
that it happened so fast and has been so readily accepted.

I’m not American but I feel the sadness.

Your security really does rest on the law. When the law works you feel safe accepted. But the law is no longer working there. And that impacts your security.

So I suspect your mind jumps to was I right? should I have just settled for what I had and been secure? should I have gone elsewhere? Could you really handle all that again.

It feels nice to be accepted to another nation, to be part of something, to call yourself one of them. It hurts to the core to be reminded you are not.

If you need to you can go elsewhere. There are other places that are safe and can offer you peace.

I think he could have gotten to the point quicker TBH. The videos was a bit tedious to watch not because of the fact but it was waffle waffle on what is obvious then a one min suggestion of how to poison it which does not really seem convenient way to do it TBH

Digital Russian roulette was a great way to describe it. People shouldn’t be held hostage on the whims of Apple faceless system. We pay for our products. Taking them away after they have been paid for, and with no genuine reason is theft.

Gonna be switching this weekend. It would be great to have a thread that helps all Librewolf newbies.

What are you proud of this year? I don’t wanna hear i ran 3 marathons.

I want to hear the crazy awards stuff like…I drove the same road 438 times and exclusively listened to Fleetwood Mac.

Common share your special skill or unique achievement this year.

I am big into spending some time doing crafts with family. Ideally for me it’s got some recycling. I’ll be making cardboard houses this year, some paper chains and likely I’ll make some candle holders from clay.

What your craft project to escape the big world this year guys?

Hi all I have a few TVs around the house and have previously used firestick and stremio setup. I do like stremio tbh but I am trying to decode/deamazon etc so I need an alternative option for the TVs. Not all are smart TVs and I like it that way so accept a small box attached is the cost.

I tend to basically use stremio and cinema HD at a push., and a VPN app. A few uk tv catchup apps. I don’t need recording or storage. I will likely move to some self hosting/serve in the next year.

I am trying to be conscious of my purchases and who I am buying, and also take steps to protect my privacy. I have a few to buy so budget needs to not be on the higher end.

Thanks in advance

I’ll start. Chuck Norris jokes!

I will start by saying I am trying to consume a lot less in my life, but due to circumstance I need to start again in my life. I am also trying to degoogle not use Amazon etc.

With this in mind I prefer to buy a decent value product and look at the options however I have noticed that I keep coming across comparisons and over and over it’s driven by ‘check price at Amazon’. Amazon has ruined decent reviews for me. All anyone wants to do is sell Amazon tat at me. Anyone else have this problem of too much chafe when trying to research decent products?

I’m not Netflix or a struggling screenwriter. I just read an offhand prophecy of how the year pans out and thought it would make a good chat.

Pitch this years Christmas movie to me based on the the crazy year we have had and how it’s going to impact the lead up to Christmas. For simplicity state the genre and maybe around 300 words. Go as crazy as you fancy, the world is a bit bizarre at the moment and Christmas does not have to always be sickly sweet.
