Yoko's story in TTGL is possibly the most tragic. She
Very spoilery gurren lagann stuff you shouldn't click here if you intend to watch it.
falls for the revolutionary leader, who dies in the process of the revolution he started, abandons politics post-revolution to hide herself away in a remote part of the world as a teacher of children with the intention of never subjecting herself to the pain of any form of relationship again, only to get dragged back into ANOTHER revolution when it's clear that the first revolution didn't fully liberate them, where she promptly falls for another revolutionary who she knew from the first revolution, who promptly dies as well. She throughout all of these events entirely sacrifices herself for the cause, sucking it up and stuffing those feelings down because she believes in the cause more than her personal feelings, even while other people around her aren't controlling their emotions anywhere near as well, she knows someone has to.
Also she's a rad chick with a huge gun that believes in her gun solving the problems.
.
She's a role model. She's a reminder that these things are not without sacrifice.
This particular gif is from the end of this music video and I just like the feeling of sweeping into a thread, dunking and being like "CIAO" sunglasses/hand wave and the framing of it is absolutely perfect for a profile pic crop with the head/hand lining up.
Also TTGL is blatantly marxist agitprop and you can't convince me otherwise. Classic Trigger/Gainax.
Stole this from somewhere on social media because it is just the most glorious round bird with a big attitude that I very much identified with. The meme hands that were added on it are the icing on the cake.
I have frog in my name and I want to abolish private property
I used the image for a copypasta post cause it looked like a weird picture of a dude who would say said copypasta. It used to be Cataradi, an alien that likes to laugh and sing and was part of your first grade curriculum in the 90s if you were Canadian and did French immersion.
I wanted something Florida-themed. Plus gators are cool.
It's an old Soviet poster and my favorite album cover
I'm pagan
I like the design of the cat lady in that episode
I dunno I just related to the character
i really like pump chili
Man eats two hot dog at once is funny.
I periodically draw my own, but it would also be an opsec violation to have it here, so I have nothing.
I wanted "funny/iconic Simpsons faces with more than one person but without too much unnecessary space between them," which was a lot harder than it looks.
Finding funny Simpsons faces is really easy:

Finding multiple funny/iconic faces is also pretty easy, but I find that they're too small:

It is a character from an old cartoon show I used to watch. It is called 相聚一刻。She is a fun character, very bold, and in this picture have a attitude I like. Character name is 六本木朱美。
Seeing how happy Rachel Bighead was in the Rocko's Modern Life reboot was one of the last things to crack my eggshell and help me realize I'm a woman.
Bush with da lean
boots with the fur
uh, my profile pic. yeah, super deep story on that one. What, you don't see it? Totally not because I don't have one.
I'm probably going to put a picture of Oscar François de Jarjayes as my profile picture at some point.
I like the game
It's a self portrait
I take two things very seriously: hunting vampires and buying blenders at the 99 pence store.
We have to remembefr. What really matters
I like Beholders
years ago I was in a music group on a website and someone posted happy king crimson. funniest shit I ever seen. saved it and kept it around, occasionally gazing upon it in my times of need (for giggles). when it was time to upload a pic here I figured it'd look good in a circle. it does.
to whoever originally created this image, wherever you may be, thank you.
and thank you for asking OP. good post.
Mine is a dog with swimming goggles on. It made me chuckle when i saw it.
παλίντροπος
Cause I like Voroshilov. I've been meaning to change it but cant think of a good one
I liked shin godzilla plus i realised my account name could be seen as reference to godzilla
Mine is a gigantic Garfield holding a hammer and a sickle leading the Revolution. I took it from Chapo's subreddit during it's last days before it was closed down, as a way to remember the most based leftwing shitposting club ever.
good movie and it's a funny expression
Jokerfication jokes + my love of Snufkin + my awareness of the shitty paint-over job and that said paint-over being shitty makes it funnier
Whirl from Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye/Lost Light. Twice voted "Autobot most likely to defect."
I like that comic. It's about a bunch of sad, gay robots in space.
Saw it as a meme on r/traa back when I browsed and saved it to my phone. Years later, decided to spice up my Hexbear profile, stumbled back on the picture, and decided to roll with it.
Kelly comic = win
My border is my intense and ever-present desire to shitpost
Its a nice pic of my cat when he was a kitty and bring me good memories of the time I lived on a favella on Rio
I took the hexbear logo and put some surprised eyes and mouth on it because I thought it would be funny. Then when The Flood happened I wanted one of those bad ass headbands so I put one on my surprised hexbear PFP.
Thumbs up cat gives off a sense of either casual approval or detached acknowledgment. Very versatile.
From "Skeleton performing zazen" by Maruyama Okyo, I had a better source for it but I can't find it now. I just like the happy skeleton :> and it feels true to my self-image
I simply did not
