Regardless of her and the DSA's politics, you shouldn't be allowed to do this. You shouldn't be allowed to just rejoin an org after pretending like that org didn't exist for so long.

What makes you say that? For the people this can be because they learn and grow or forget and remember. In the case of her we know it is just the performance or appearance but do not ruin it for others.

DSA chapters get their membership from national. You can only join national and get your chapter assigned based on your zip code.
If NYCDSA is allowing people to join them directly then that would be a big deal.
IIRC she had NYCDSA's endorsement but not national.

If DSA accepts tying itself to her, then DSA can get fucked. If DSA accepts her membership, then DSA is forever cancelled.
(I say "if" as if there's any doubt that DSA will spit on Palestinian corpses in order to "build power" so as to do nothing good with said power. )
