That is unironically a good idea

[–] marcos@lemmy.world 91 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Half of Binface's ideas seem to be unironically a good idea, and half seem to ironically be a good idea.

The hand dryer switches on every time you piss in that urinal. Excellent policy.

I'd prestige a 2nd time just for the love of the game.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 11 points 1 week ago

Honestly, it would be kind of fun to go through early schooling again and flex what I've learned in university.

[–] VieuxQueb@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

It would be nice now that I don't care what others think of me anymore and I came to handle crowd speaking much easier.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

If it has to be by a correspondence course... Because sadly you don't want random adults around a bunch of teens and kids.

As an American, god please elect this dude. It will be so funny and he literally cannot be any worse than the actual politicians running

[–] Fortatech@gregtech.eu 22 points 1 week ago (3 children)

God doesn't elect people 🙄😒

Of course not, he fucked up his comma placement. It should read "as an American god, ..."

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 24 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yeah, come to think of it, what has that git done for us recently?

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 1 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Well certainly less than the Romans did.

[–] Azzu@leminal.space 2 points 2 days ago

apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Exactly as much as he's done for us long ago.

[–] ByteJunk@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Provide convenient excuses for everything, from collecting alms to genocidal intercontinental warfare, you name it, god can be used as a pretext.

Seize the filthy unbeliever!

[–] lesinge@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Let's see a garbage can take out the trash in the USA too!

[–] Thatuserguy@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

Woah now, that's Vermin Supreme's territory. We don't need a gang war

I don't have much faith in the people of Clacton... there is a reason why Farage got elected there.... please may I be proven wrong.

If peeing your pants is cool then I'm miles Davis

[–] BurntWits@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 week ago

Holy shit it’s Miles Davis! I’m a huge fan, Sketches of Spain is one of my all-time favourite albums and has helped me deal with some tough times. Thank you for all the work you’ve done!

[–] banazir@lemmy.ml 64 points 1 week ago

Clacton, do the right thing. Please, I beg of you. We can't afford any more joke candidates, put your vote in the Bin!

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 62 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

“Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens: I demand you stand down in Clacton. I will be a unity candidate and pledge to build at least one affordable house."

Still one more than Farage or Fox would 🤷🏻

[–] nialv7@lemmy.world 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

nah, reform will teardown affordable houses that are already there. they will build negative affordable houses

[–] thanksforallthefish@literature.cafe 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Thats a bit out of date. All the majot parties said 2 weeks ago they weren't going to dignify Nige's tantrum by standing, and they havent.

Count Binface is literally the most legitimate candidate opposing Farage. The other candidates are 20 odd independents plus the neonazi Laurence Fox

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Actually, I'm pretty sure that he "ordered" them to stand down AFTER they had done so on their own 😁

Take out the Trash, Bring in the Bin!

[–] SaharaMaleikuhm@feddit.org 48 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd vote for that guy in a heartbeat

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 21 points 1 week ago

I'd vote for him even if he was running against reasonable, normal candidates.

Given who he's actually running against, there's absolutely no question. If he doesn't win, it's a travesty.

[–] joe_archer@lemmy.world 36 points 1 week ago (3 children)

As much as I support this, the idea that a climate change denier would be capable of completing A level education is just unrealistic.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 1 week ago

Then they can keep trying until they either pass or adjust their career expectations accordingly 🤷🏻

[–] Noel_Skum@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You should read-up on some of the things, outside their field of expertise, that have been believed by Nobel Prize winners.

Even big brain people can harbour tiny brain thoughts somewhere so it might be possible to get A’s in history, eng lit and a modern language whilst still being scientifically illiterate. Who knows?

[–] Hasherm0n@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

There's something to be said for the idea that the more intelligent someone is, the better they are at rationalizing the things they believe.

That's why they've got to start over from the beginning. Maybe by the time they get there, they'll have improved a bit.

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 1 week ago

Entirely appropriate.

When the world serves up clowns that don't realize they are clowns... retort, with a clown who does.

[–] bitteroldcoot@piefed.social 29 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I've talked to these people, an electric drill couldn't get past that thick skull. Words mean nothing to them.

I humbly suggest a large does of LSD an hour before school starts, then a dose of Ecstasy at the beginning of the lesson.

It is very funny to me that idiot assholes can be chemically induced to experience ego death, and, sometimes, this results in them starting to form an actual conscience.

Its like a condition, with a potential cure.

Infinitely better than what the US has pretending to be government.

Similar for England, if not all the U.K.

[–] nullspace@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

I like this guy.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

Maybe he can be part time UK MP, part time US President? I'd vote for him, he could take trump easy, and no one knows exactly what the US democrats stand for lately.

[–] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Vote for the Count not the Cunt: Vote Count Binface.

[–] kalapala@sopuli.xyz 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Is this guy Gary Stevenson in costume?

[–] thanksforallthefish@literature.cafe 19 points 1 week ago (3 children)

No he's comedian Jonathan Harvey, writer of among other things the political satire "The thick of it" and comedy show "Have I got news for you"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Count_Binface

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thick_of_It

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Have_I_Got_News_for_You

I'm sure he'd get along famously with Stevenson though

We need to do this here in America. Same with anti-vaxers.

[–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 4 points 1 week ago

Praise binface!

[–] MrNesser@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Just saying if we ever get rid of the monachy in favour of a president......
