The official podcast of /r/chapotraphouse was of course citation needed, but what is the official podcast of hexbear?

If you want a real answer, it's either TrueAnon or Hasanabi. There are multiple Hexbear users who frequently repost images and memes from /r/trueanon. There are many Hexbear users who frequently watch Hasan, even the ones who claim to hate him.

Both TrueAnon and Hasanabi are spinoff shows of the Chapo Cinematic Universe. Brace appeared on Chapo under the alias "PissPigGranddad" before TrueAnon ever existed. Hasan made a guest appearance on Chapo for the first time in 2019. Shortly before Hasan's appearance on Chapo, he was a streamer for Facebook. It was Felix Biederman of Chapo who recommended Hasan to stream on twitch and Felix frequently streamed Fortnite with Hasan in 2019.

No one has said "And computer scare" in months.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 1 points 3 days ago

That’s because computers care.

My heart still kinda warms thinking about that little joke

I'd say they avoid this label by staying focused on media criticism rather than weighing in on every issue. They're not revolutionaries by any stretch, sure, but their positions feel pretty cleanly left of lib. Sometimes they get a libbed up guest and it leads to a disappointing ep, but those aren't that common imo.

so is everyone here except me.

[–] kittenzrulz123@hexbear.net 2 points 16 hours ago

Nuh uh im the only real leftist here :3

Do they still ban people when they're asked about China?

[–] blobjim@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago

They're definitely not. Nobody doing what they do could be for long.

[–] hollowmines@hexbear.net 13 points 3 days ago (2 children)

tbh I still listen to most new episodes of chapo. I treat it as a news digest for mixed active/passive listening the way my folks listen to news on the radio.

[–] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 10 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I sorta migrated to Trillbilly Worker's Party for that, they're a lot more enjoyable to listen to.

[–] godlessworm@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago

i listen to trillbilly's and chapo, trillbilly's is consistently still really good, chapo has had a decline but i still enjoy listening.

[–] hollowmines@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago (2 children)

They're tainted for me for reasons I will not be divulging on here lol

[–] MLRL_Commie@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Thats interesting to just drop. Without divulging, is there a reason I should not listen or is this just personal? You can at least give that, or someone here is gonna assume allegations, which you might not be making

[–] godlessworm@hexbear.net 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

my assumption would be that they say slurs sometimes

Oh just saw your other post, thanks for the clarification.

I deleted my annoyed post

[–] hollowmines@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago

it's all good I shouldn't have left it so open ended in the first place

[–] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Well yeah I'm also curious now.

If one or more of them was a confirmed sex pest that I had a reliable account of from a friend I would definitely just say that (hi jeff goldblum, also fuck you) , this is definitely more of the banal cringe interpersonal variety. nothing cancel-worthy that I know of.

[–] Gorillatactics@hexbear.net 1 points 3 days ago

I stopped when they took down the blackwolffeed on reddit, dont care enough to learn a new platform.

I miss street fight radio. I don't really understand why Bryan and Brett split. I am under the impression that Brett wanted to do real world activism stuff and Bryan was more focused on making entertainment. Bryan made 'Guys' podcast. Then Brett made some paranormal-focused podcast. I can't find it now. It looks like Brett deleted his twitter account.

[–] ClathrateG@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

[–] Flyberius@hexbear.net 2 points 3 days ago

I'm glad he decided to do that, because initially he was like, no...

[–] Acute_Engles@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago

All the pocasts with November on them and our political stances change just as often as hers

[–] StalinsGiantSpoon@hexbear.net 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Lovett or Leave It obviously

[–] BGDelirium@hexbear.net 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Still can't believe 2018-2019 me listened to this and Pod Save America as part of my podcast diet

[–] StalinsGiantSpoon@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago

we've all done things. 10 years ago i watched Joe Rogan for a bit(probably the first podcast i ever really watched/listened to), but mostly for the comedians and guests i wanted to see. Then i realized the dude talks about like 5 things and moved on. Plus i find it difficult to listen to any libertarian.

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago

I probably listen to trueanon the most, Chapo depending on the episode, I used to listen to wtyp but got tired of them (mostly Liam), radiowarnerd but I don't think that rates as Hexbear Offical™

I've kind of stopped, I haven't watched Hasan since March pretty much, don't miss anything of him whatsoever, I've only ever listened to maybe like 20 episodes of TrueAnon and I'm feeling like the Deprogram might be slipping a bit, which is sad because I've listened to every publically available episode. I like the idea behind the Reaction pod Yugo has been doing with Fredda and Mike, but I don't fuck with Mike so I'm not gonna listen lmao. BadHasbara is fun though.

I guess I missed the golden era of a leftist (by American standarts) guy with an expensive mic giving you the rundown on reality, I have no idea what all these niche references people drop here mean, might be for the best shrug-outta-hecks

I'm not sure I follow
