I google searched and it gave me some nonsense about it being static electric towers of spices
I said "it's writhing" and it told me it's drugstore or cigarette beetles, after immediately being like "throw it away outside of your house" like it's something scary that needs to be killed with fire
it made it sound like you wanna worry about them spreading to your other spices
Be careful, and keep an eye out, we had an infestation of "Indian Pantry Moths" in our kitchen last year, and they did shit like this . . . The moths lay eggs on their food source, and they hatch tiny crawlers that can get into the smallest of cracks, where they gorge untill they turn into wormy looking things that pupate and turn into moths. Keep an eye out for webby looking cocoons in dark corners. Those fuckers got into everything that wasn't tightly sealed: flour, cereal, spices, crackers, chips, they went absolutely ham on my hanging string of Hatch New Mexico Chiles 😖 . . . It was a total nightmare, and took several months before it was completely dealt with; we had to wipe absolutely everything down with vinegar which nukes them, then bought a bunch of new tightly-sealing canisters, and got in the habit of freezing any bulk items for a few days before introducing them to the kitchen. Ive had chillies and other spices completely devoured by moths or something. More than anything else in the kitchen. Not only does the heat not deter them, they seem especially attracted to it.
Those things will die in the freezer so if you want as a precaution you can freeze stuff for a day or so to avoid getting bugs from incoming food.
