Don't know if they're weevils, they're tiny brownish beetles (the dark dots you see in the front, for example).
No more pictures because I threw it away before they could spread to all of my kitchen. It looked like they couldn't leave the jar, so hopefully they didn't.
Ive had chillies and other spices completely devoured by moths or something. More than anything else in the kitchen. Not only does the heat not deter them, they seem especially attracted to it.
Those things will die in the freezer so if you want as a precaution you can freeze stuff for a day or so to avoid getting bugs from incoming food.
