DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL UNLESS THERE ARE REPERCUSSIONS

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. - Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Repercussions are for poor people sir. If you dont let the rich break the law you will never benefit from their wealth trickling down to you like a warm golden stream.
Remind me what's supposed to happen when people break the law
If you can define which people you mean, I can give you an answer
You get SMACKED or SLAMMED in newspaper articles. The damage to your ego is enough punishment really. Much worse than any fine or jail time.
Billionaires have it rough.
/s
First the papers CHOP you down, and then they DROPKICK you into the gutter, then SUPLEX your reputation, followed by a HEADLOCK, and then oh no what's this why are they climbing the corner post - MOONSAULT onto your ego with a flying elbow
Ow, that hurt just to watch. Actually, after seeing the media give such a vicious beatdown, the billionaire seems like the underdog - we should really root for them instead!
Don't worry, the billionaire flouts all regulations and bravely pulls out a gun on his assailants. A tense deadlock ensues, but watch out oh dear here comes Bernie Sanders with the steel chair!
In the off chance you get fined for completely dismantling democracy and helping place a crook in presidency, they will make you pay 1/1000th of your yearly bonuses. Monstrous, such barbaric measures.
They get awards and prizes that sometimes even large amounts of cash!!
Judges and 'boards' complain about it for clout until everyone forgets?
"I won't stand for it!"
sits down
Idk. I'm self-medicating with the reckless ben story line. I'll let you know.
I too have been obsessing over that for the last few weeks
they pay a participation fee.
I mean. fine. er. yeah.
LOL, "likely".
Definitely broke the law, and definitely will have zero consequences.

The entire country is such fucking clown shoes.
The damage is now done and he's going to get what, a fine or some shit? Doubt it. A shrug and a strongly worded don't do that again- He will promptly do it again.
Even a $1bill fine would mean little to that man.
man
Lol.
He's a soft little child trapped in a man's body.
A fair point.
It is amazing the level of emotional retardation that happens to these men when they start with money and then succeed in making a stupid, can’t even spend it all amount in their 20s. Real life has never happened for them.
Big fine that gets directly donated to a trans support organization. He'll rage for days
We can (and should) elect a president who would go after all these criminals.
There's literally no reason not to do it.
Anyone telling you differently is just trying to get people to skip voting
I'm 100% with you on this. The Dems are also complicit in not ensuring voters knew what illegal activities were happening at the time — when DOGE was in full swing, the left sat on their hands and allowed Musk and his army of hackers to siphon off terabytes of sensitive data. That said, I do believe in a swing of the pendulum, though this time it may swing further to the left than many expect.
I mean, it depends on what you mean by "the Dems"...
Schumer and Jefferies were/are lame ducks and obviously did nothing despite holding congressional leadership positions
And the DNC stayed out of it, because they shouldn't be involved in stuff like that, the party should never be setting policy like that.
Individual politicians with Ds by their names were ringing the alarm bells throughout that period and continue to do so.
There just wasn't/isn't much they can do for the next 6 months.
Things can get a lot better just by then
That said, I do believe in a swing of the pendulum, though this time it may swing further to the left than many expect.
I agree many don't see it coming...
But for people that know history, another FDR is obviously right around the corner, and we're a lot more likely to get a progressive Senate/House which not having is what held FDR back. Even if not, the president has a lot more power compared to 80 years ago.
Shit looks bad and could get way worse, but on a 20 year timeline I never been more optimistic about America's future.
But it's only a bribe if he actually paid anyone. I heard all checks bounced.
Wisconsin’s election bribery statute, which makes it illegal to offer “anything of value” to induce someone to vote, not vote, or support a candidate.

Feel free to look up other sources or the actual statute.
Fuck. Can't do anything these days anymore. Really stupid being corrupt has to be so public these days.
Bingo. Almost everywhere the offer is illegal the act is a separate and distinct crime.
Especially since it wasn't even a lottery, he flat out just picked who he thinks would play the best as advertisments, but sold it as "anyone can win"
