Are they trying to lose the midterms? That would be impressive after all the Trump fuckups.

[–] Wataba@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 hours ago

Oh look, lemmy is shitting its oants again because they were so fucking retarded they let a pedophile rapist take power instead of her.

Shut your dumbasses up.

I swear to God if they try to shove her or greasy Gavin down our throats I'm going to lose my mind.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

You know they will.

an unpopular opinion perhaps: out of all Dem presidents on memory Biden did the most in terms of progressive agenda and by extension so did Harris. But that duo never went full-in on progressive values or anything else, really, so they have mainly half-assed it. So I have no compelling reason to believe that they were progressive as much as they are anti-progressive. Her reaching out to Mamdani could be interpreted as a genuine reach out trying to escape typical DNC tether. Fact is her lackluster performance last time does indicate she's a poor "performer" thus a poor choice to win against raging republicanz.

She was given many opportunities to do this when she was Vice and actively refused then was disrespectful about it when she was protested for it. People don't forget that kind of blatant slap in the face. This "effort" if real is going to be far too late for many.

She thought neoliberals would accept her, that she was Biden's VP pick because she was being groomed to be a leader.

She wasn't, she was just there to make the Biden ticket not a blank piece of copy paper. She was never intended to get the last nomination, but by a fluke she got it handed to her.

The neoliberals will (already have really) pivot to Newsom, so she's trying desperately to rebrand herself as progressive after actually saying:

You asked me what is the difference between Joe Biden and me — that will be one of the differences. I’m going to have a Republican in my Cabinet,

Like, she tried to move the window right from Biden...

She sure as shit ain't peogressive

So the corp Dems distanced themselves from him but now want his endorsement.

I really hope he doesn't endorse her.

Politics are .. well. Politics. Right. ?

I think he has to be careful making enemies. But he has to also stand by his convictions or he will lose the love from the people.

We don't want a sell-out. And people will be very disappointed if he shows any signs of selling out.

But saying "no" to the dem establishment might make them very hostile.

Honestly the corp Dems have the most to lose with mamdani.

He's helping to clean them out. Republicans don't have that kind of power.

So he's like #1 threat to them. And if they can't get him to cave ... I think they will try some underhanded shady ass shit to get rid of him.

Remember all the stuff the CIA used to, and still does to discredit people?

I expect some fabricated scandal in the near future.

The “centrists” and conservatives will always be hostile. The world needs to stop playing their game, stop giving them appeasement compromises, stop voting center to avoid conservatism and getting it anyway.

There is nothing you can do to compromise with someone who believes that human life has no inherent value. There is nothing you can do to compromise with someone who still cannot admit to a genocide in Palestine. It’s not being a “purist”, there’s still so much nuance and diversity of opinion that exists once we strip away the absolute bullshit and throw it in the fucking trash where it belongs.

I miss when people who got humiliated this badly had the decency to retire from public life.

Can't wait until the VBNMW crowd ignores, again, who she really is and blame us when she loses, again. Anyone that manages to lose every single fucking swing state and has never won a single electoral vote needs to stay the fuck out of politics.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

But shes gotta run again.

How else are they gonna make sure republicans win again? Democrats don't want to run viable candidates, especially viable women candidates, they want to be the minority opposition (that secretly always concedes just enough votes to let the right wing extremists get what they want)

[–] Akh@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Worst corpo democrat in a long time

🙄

Don't fucking do it, gurrrrrl
