Be me. Get picked up by ICE Agents. ICE Agents make an offer to me, either go to Trump's State Fair or a detention centre. Choose detention centre.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

Weird how threatening and harassing 1/3 of the population makes no one want to participate in your activities. What a fucking clown.

Why you gotta demean trash like that?

[–] roofTophopper@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

It was antifa left wing terrorist dumocrat radicals that caused this. They drove in with their giant trucks with giant hoses, spraying millions and millions of gallons of water onto the fair. Water which the likes have never been seen before. They did it folks. Fake news media wants to tell you it was "rain". Isn't that a ridiculous word. "Rain". We know the truth though. They tried to ruin the fair, but we won't let them.

Honestly, this shit is hilarious. I hope there's a firework show and they are all duds except one lonely roman candle.

I'll take fireworks burning down the White House due to incompetence.

LOL, WTF has Melania ever done that would deserve a tribute? 🙄

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 2 points 9 hours ago

A bunch of teenage girls names a heifer Melania saying it’s a tribute to her because their hair colors kind of match and it “just fit”.

Maybe it’s good this is going to go over everyone’s head.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 17 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

She make fuck to get green card.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

Pretty much this. She seems to have won a lot of $$$ by being a mail-order bride?

I'm not sure that's something that needs to be tied into our 250th anniversary, though.

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 1 points 12 hours ago

More political graft, no doubt.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

the fact that the countries 250th founding celebration is a terrible state fair run by a convisted rapist which pretends to honor an ex prostitute who immigrated illegally into the US on an 'Einstein unusual talent' visa is almost too perfect.
An open pedophile marketplace in the middle of it with some open air pedophile rape with the sounds of screaming children is about the only way it could be more spot on. And maybe some missile batteries rotating nearby.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

an ‘Einstein unusual talent’ visa

That originated from a typo. It was an Epstein visa.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 16 hours ago

I had that visa, took a PhD with 5 Publications.

This "State Fair" failure is perfect Trump.

This apparently had been planned for several years. The Smithsonian was working in part with other groups. They had top tier musicians planned for free concerts each night, fireworks, state events, activities and displays. All Trump had to do is stand back and let everyone do their thing.

But nope. He had to get involved. All the normal people and groups didn't want to work with his nonsense. This is the end result. A lethargic multi-day MAGA rally, a half working Ferris wheel, a state exhibit for states like Maine where it's a sign that says "Maine" and two chairs, and a few thousand people a day attending and leaving feeling ripped off.

All he had to do was stand back and let it happen.

[–] Bananskal@nord.pub 37 points 1 day ago

Love to see it. The only result I every wanted for something like this. Let everything he does and everything he touches turn to stone and dust.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

All he had to do was stand back and let it happen.

Is what he said to his rape victims.

I don't think he talked to them most of the time.

state exhibit for states like Maine where it's a sign that says "Maine"

To be fair, that's at least better than the sign saying "Mane", which is closer to their usual level of competence 🤷🏻

[–] justaman123@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I mean the few thousand are pretty delusional maga they are like Disney adults, but even more delusional because at least Disney world is good

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 43 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Call Donald Trump to organize your next disappointing failure of an event!

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Four Seasons lot is available.

[–] Dionysus@leminal.space 15 points 1 day ago

The four seasons landscaping next to the dildo store that is.

I wonder what percentage of attendees are actually just press covering the event?

Just count the number of people not wearing a camo wife-beater and you have your answer.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 31 points 1 day ago (11 children)

This looks like an awful layout for a fair.

There doesn’t look like there’s much to do at all.

I’m sure there’s some stuff in those tents, but so much wasted space for what’s probably aesthetic reasons, and that definitely makes it look even more dead.

Fairs and carnivals are tightly laid out so they feel more alive and they can jam in more to see everywhere you look. This is the opposite.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 20 hours ago

In the UK, Banksy once set up a deliberately crap theme park called Dismaland.

Trump's brainfart is even worse crap than that, and not deliberate.

[–] GlendatheGayWitch@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

Theres more to do at those roaming carnivals that set up in a parking lot.

[–] CaptDust@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Someone who's never been to a state fair's idea of one, no doubt. And many of the booths are empty, with just a table and a state stamp for the visitor book.

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This looks like an awful layout for a fair.

It's a workable layout. You just need stuff to do. This is a lawn, some ugly empty tents, a broken ferris wheel, and tears of children expecting something more interesting than a basic city park.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I’ve had family reunions with more to do.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 20 hours ago

Ours are like a government agency: alcohol, tobacco and firearms.

Anyone else notice the Israeli flag hanging next to the US one in the empty music tent? 🤮

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 16 points 1 day ago

Yep. That really sticks out at an event supposedly all about American patriotism.

Well yeah. Just what being a protectorate is, dude.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

They should just use the Israeli one, itd be more honest.

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 23 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

TLDR: "Melania" is the name of a cow named after the First Lady cause it's patriotic. No one's showing up while Trump claims the crowds are huge.

[–] Botzo@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

Kids are dumb. "Moolania" was right there!

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 1 points 21 hours ago

Holy shit that thumbnail is the fugliest thing this side of trumps face ive ever seen.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Ah yes, the memories of my childhood, going to the 'state fair' with all the Greek architecture. Nothing says 'downhome america' like greek & roman architecture. WTAF???

[–] cecinestpasunecommunication@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Your state fair wasn't in the capital? With all the Romanesque bullshit?

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 1 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Our state fair is in the capitol city but at the fair grounds not the actual Capitol.

[–] cecinestpasunecommunication@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)
[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

If you're asking me how far apart they are, it's about 5.5 miles. Technically it's in a small burb adjacent to the capitol city (about 2300 people).

I know in ca it was not the sane part of town, but you got to see some. It was still Sacramento.

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I feel like even Trump would be pretty dissapointed about the lack of corn dogs.

[–] cecinestpasunecommunication@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Oh my god you can't even get meat wrapped in corn? What is this shit pit country even for?

[–] 1995ToyotaCorolla@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

Unfortunately, corn dogs are too phallic shaped and are thus "woke and gay" now. You may, however have as much raw ground beef as you want with RFK jr over in the HHS tent

I mean you could, but that was before Biden.
