I listen to funk in September, metal in October and November, Christmas songs in December, and Irish music in March.

Yes! I agree 100%. That's why I buy non black tshirts nowadays. These are the latest acquisitions:
Preach, I quit black metal t shirts ten years ago and haven't looked back. Unless of course there is no other option, or the colour is particularly crap
White is not very flattering to the average metalhead figure, and also does not hide spilled beer
Is it weird that I just thought about white goth aesthetic as a parallel to those all white PC builds? I don't think I've seen 'white goth theme' done before and am kinda curious if it would look good.

Arguably many variants of the older, harajuku gothic lolita style can/have also been done in primarily white or lighter colors.
This is a more modern dress and pic, but I think you could find examples of similar going back to at least the 90s:

I suppose if we carry forward trends in PC case styling... to fashion... well, we would somehow have to end up with dresses or suits with wood grain pattern elements or accents.

I have a colleague who’s into metal. Always wears a band shirt, always in black. As you’d expect. Except on VERY rare days where she runs out of those or if it’s indeed just too hot to wear black.
It’s downright jarring to see her in anything except black. Looks like a completely different person.
I do imagine it’s nice to be a female metal fan. Never have to worry about what to wear or what colors to match 😂

Even if it's not about the heat, I want some diversity. Black gets boring at one point, so I get other colours any time I can.
I don't know. I wear black, pastel black, broken black, dark black and 50 shades of black. Plenty of options.

I have a old Sucide Silence shirt that is the depiction of a nude woman covered with long hair hugging a skeleton that is white.
Why does she look like a render from a 2010 era game? Took me a while to figure out it's an actual photograph.
Looks like the sign is shopped, so it makes the rest of it look weird with the contrast.

I have a neon blue Cattle Decapitation tank with a bright yellow logo, love that shirt.

My brother used to have a white kreator shirt
I got a bright blue cattle decap shirt and a few white lorna shore shirts
I’ve got a good few, but they are local bands, so it was likely a cost decision, but I definitely sport them more when it’s hot.
I’ll sweat balls in my Conan shirts without a second thought, though. Because fuckin’ Conan.
