This came exactly when I needed it, thank you, recently my computer has been too fast for my liking, and I felt like I controlled something I owned (which is just too much responsibility for me right now), and all of that was solved when I replaced my OS with Windows. Glory to Microsoft, forced updates, Copilot, and outdated code!

Thank you souch for this! My computer hasn't had a horrible crash loop in a while, and now I know why. I wasn't using windows. I followed this guide and now my OS is slow to load, quick to crash and totally worth the $190CAD it cost for a Windows 11 key.

Great idea — I was worried my computer wasn’t reporting enough about me.

Don't knock it till you try it

I'm sure this is a helpful video someone... although I literally cannot imagine who. Maybe someone who is being required to use Windows-only corporate software and doesn't have a good enough computer to run a VM?

Isn't Win10 no longer patched? An ungenerous view of this could be an attempt to have users uninstall a secured OS to an unsecured OS to scam someone.

If thats true why did my win10 laptop spend so long updating today and make me re-delete copilot?

Windows 10 is the cow they keep milking. They have a whole program aimed at enterprise (corporate) customers customers to keep paying for exclusive Windows 10 security updates for years. They won't make as money from the consumer-level Windows 10 so they only offered a year of security updates for consumers, and even a lot of consumers still had to pay for it, while others got it free if they agreed to Microsofts terms of using fucking Microsoft account and OneDrive to get it.

I suspect with Windows 11 continuing to go bad that we'll see them offer paid security updates for consumers again next years to stop the bleeding out to Linux and Mac
