Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

[–] madjo@feddit.nl 8 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Who cares what that human thumb thinks?

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He's like a human version of the slowpoke meme.

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

The similarity is striking, I have to say

[–] 4grams@awful.systems 3 points 6 days ago

All the shitty dudebros you work with. I’m a middle aged, bearded, slightly overweight man, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked if I caught Rogan last night…

[–] SooperGoose@thelemmy.club 8 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Correction *Joe Rogan points out the obvious fact that everyone paying attention already knows

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

that everybody already knew in 2014

[–] magnue@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago (1 children)
[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 1 points 6 days ago

Correct, Rogan reflects them as much as Trump does.

[–] flop_leash_973@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago

He must think there is currently more money in being critical of Trump over this than supporting it. Advice remains the same, fuck Joe Rogan, everyone should ignore him.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 10 points 6 days ago

I can walk and chew bubblegum at the same time. And considering how many people refer to it as "Epstein Fury", I'd say that others can display a similarly modest level of multitasking.

[–] Huschke@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

And Melania brought the attention right back to the files. She's a real one.

Joe Rogans thing being a monkey is very apropos, I doubt he has the capacity left for higher order thinking

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

He says this but he’d vote for him again if he tried to run.

[–] davidagain@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

He's not wrong.

[–] Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

He might be a human sack of human shit but i do wish people would get back to talking about the epstein files. We cant just let these dick heads get away with it.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

And in other breaking news: cold water brrr, hot water ouch.

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 1 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Now the narrative shifts to trump just trump only trump, no one else, ignore the framework required to get here, it was just trump. The goat is being scaped

[–] m3t00@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

shocked shocked i tell you

[–] TheCelticPirate@lemmy.world 150 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Joe. He used you as a distraction. You are a tool.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 27 points 1 week ago

Joe Rogan allegedly allowed Harris to travel to Texas during a key weekend because she hoped to do his show. Instead of giving her a spot on his show, he gave Trump that spot resulting in Harris wasting an entire day.

I don’t genuinely believe this would have made a difference to Harris. But I do think it shows Joe Rogan’s motives at the time. Fuck that guy.

Glad to see Joe finally catching up with the rest of us. Dude is perpetually at least six months behind the rest of the country.

[–] rottenmummy@lemmy.ml 43 points 1 week ago

His role model is Internet Explorer

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I genuinely think COVID made his brain dumber.

Joe Rogan will never outlive his contribution to this. He will be denigrated in history as a sophist, an ignoramus, and a fascist sympathizer, if not a fascist himself. His children will deny him and do everything they can to distance themselves from his legacy. So let it be written.

[–] 3jane@piefed.ca 23 points 1 week ago

He made a lot of money doing it. That's all he cares about.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 week ago

Joe represents the average American really well.

[–] kata1yst@sh.itjust.works 1 points 6 days ago

Still funnier than "comedian" Joe Rogan.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You better look out. Joe Rogan is gonna come after you in 15 months, when he finally gets your joke.

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Does that mean Joe Rogan is Abella Anderson in disguise?
