/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

We need cannon that involves her being cast as Beverly's much sexier sibling or cousin or something.

[–] arcine@jlai.lu 5 points 23 hours ago

We have to listen to science, Riker.

This is what Section 31 should have been

Investigating Borg abductions, possible Changelings, already sounds way better than what Hollywood can cook up

What if they found a planet that was turning borg but it turns out to be of local origin and now they have to worry about borgs just popping up in the universe.

Oh my GOD a Gillian Anderson led Section 31 taking place parallel to DS9?! Shut up and take my money!

Oh, what a fascinating idea of a show!

Stop! Stop! I can't be any more attracted to Scully. Please, I beg of you, this is too much.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Scully doesn't believe you.

My flesh is weak! So... is that physics? Or biology? Oh, maybe it's actually chemistry.

That woman singlehandedly swayed two generations to lust after redheads.

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 2 points 13 hours ago

I was already on board with gingers before Scully happened. She just set the bar so much higher. Smart, capable, armed. What's not to love?

[–] treadful@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 day ago

She should probably have a science officer uniform

The Vulcan Science Academy has determined that life in multiple planets is impossible...

Or something like that.

[–] usernamefactory@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

Mulder, there’s never been any conclusive evidence that Vulcanians even exist, let alone operate a prestigious science academy. And the idea that this fictional academy is dictating policy to the United Earth government across light years using some kind of universal translation technology? It’s completely scientifically implausible.

Swamp gas. The planet Venus. Definitely not aliens.

Not to be confused with The Trek Files: A Roddenberry Podcast. Hosted by Larry Nemecek, where he discusses documents from the Roddenberry Archive.
