How does one know experientially that they have pelvic floor tightness?

You can look up detailed symtpoms online, but one of the main things is having unusual and sudden increases in the urge to urinate and needing more physical exertion to urinate or pass a bowel movement. I can be perfectly fine one moment then suddenly need to go to the restroom out of nowhere. If my bowels are full, I'm going to have to urinate 2-3 times as often, because it makes my tightness so much worse.
It’s so funny that you posted this as i was just about to go on YouTube to look for pelvic floor relaxation exercises. Do you have any advice to share (besides using a vibrator, which I will definitely try :p)
I've had some luck with deep stomach breathing while doing reverse kegel exercises, but nothing has completely eradicated the problem for me.
I’ve never heard of reverse kegels before, i’ll check that out. Thanks!
You just stretch your kegel to relax it rather than contract to strengthen it with regular kegel exercises. https://pelvichealthsolutions.ca/knowledge-base/reverse-kegels-pelvic-floor-drops
I get pelvic pain every now and then along with groin pain, I'd love a vibe tbh
I've had symptoms of tightness for a while, but never any pain. It takes forever to get anything done on the NHS, so I'm considering self-treatment.
Yeah when I was in my 20's it was worse, it hurt bad, especially when I'd have sex or get off. Now I just get the occasional twang of pain.
One of the main home treatments for pelvic floor dysfunction is basically a vibrator.
