Trump has promised to endorse Jake Paul if the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer ever runs for office.

Trump made the remarks yesterday during a speech at a packaging facility in Kentucky, after being joined on stage by the influencer.

The president’s declaration of support followed a brief speech by Paul, who later posted a video of the pair hitting Trump’s now infamous YMCA dance.

Just when you think things couldnt possibly any dumber.

[–] mthomson@forum.macaque.social 12 points 4 hours ago

Every time I think America has hit rock bottom, Trump pulls out the jackhammer and tries to dig deeper.

Send in AJ to break his jaw

I really thought Jake Paul would dissapear from public perception after the suicide forest incident but instead its always getting fucking worse with that guy. Gonna piss on his grave.

[–] inari@piefed.zip 14 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

The suicide forest one is Logan Paul. Jake Paul is the one who got his jaw smashed

[–] nova_ad_vitum@lemmy.ca 21 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

I literally refuse to learn the difference between them

[–] gnate@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

Me with Oasis. Which one is the asshole with the bad haircut?

[–] 13igTyme@piefed.social 1 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Just make sure you don't confuse them with Paul Logan.

Also I agree and also refuse to learn the difference between them.

Jake and Logan Paul are the archetypical rich kids who grew to be narcissistic and functionally sociopathic.

Those two assholes would never shy away from the spotlight. And the dumbfuck iPad kids who grew up idolizing them remain as their loyal incel fanbase to this day.

Also, not that it matters because they're basically the same person, but that was Logan Paul who did the Suicide Forrest video.

Which one got their jaw broken?

At :20 you can see the fear in is eyes as he's about to just eat the right hook. Glorious shot.

[–] Mastengwe@sh.itjust.works 18 points 7 hours ago

Reality has become a fucking cartoon.

[–] ramenshaman@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

100% not the gay national anthem.

[–] blitzen@lemmy.ca 15 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

Surly a Trump endorsement means political death nearly everywhere, no?

[–] HocEnimVeni@lemmy.world 17 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

Buddy I can tell you haven't been to the south recently

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to see more of these types of stories than the opposite.

Too many Trump aligned candidates seem to win, but I seem to see candidates lose when Trump vocally endorses them. To wit, Hershall Walker.

The nazi propaganda induced mental illness epidemic will not be cured with reality or logic.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 8 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

About 1/3rd of the US is still vehemently supporting Trump.

Don't underestimate how massive (nor incredibly fucking stupid) the cult is.

[–] TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

Sure but we can backtest the power of the Trump endorsement, and even as early as 2018, it didn't mean shit. Something thats been academically notable about Trump is how their ability to defy polling or elevate surprising candidates isn't transferable. Trumps endorsement has never meant a sure thing, and right now? You'd be better off getting Harris's endorsement.

This is a grift, I promise. There will be some stupid fucking crypto or something. He'll lose. Then he'll go work for OAN or some shit.

I am getting president camacho vibes

[–] archonet@lemy.lol 3 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

That's an insult to President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho, and you will treat that fictional moron with respect. He was still a leader that wanted the best for his countrymen, and knew well enough to defer to the smartest man in the room. That's about as far from Trump as you can get in terms of "vibes".

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 2 points 6 hours ago

Also not in the Epstein files.

[–] homes@piefed.world 3 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

If they’re both still alive by then, it is a critical failure of both this nation in this world

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago (4 children)

What policies do these two people agree on?

[–] MajinBlayze@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

What makes you think that that's relevant? Neither of them run on policy

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

That's the joke

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 16 points 8 hours ago

Keep crypto scams going! Also trump doesn't know policy anyway, he just signs what his handlers ask him to.

[–] Godort@lemmy.ca 7 points 8 hours ago

If you're rich, you should be immune from consequences of any kind

[–] synae@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 8 hours ago

Might makes right

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 0 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Can Jake Paul just kill himself? That'd be great.

But seriously I hope this pissant dies a slow and painful death same as his brother.
