Only thing Barron would be good for is a comfort boy.

Idiots. You are all fucking idiots. Yes, you; from OP to every single person in the comments. All of you are too fucking stupid to spend even 30 seconds reading past the most bullshit, click-bait, headline of all time.

No one is talking about reinstating the draft. No one is talking about specifically excluding Barron Trump. Do you dumb fucks want to know what this article is actually about?

IF the draft DID get reinstated (despite literally no one considering it), Barron Trump MIGHT get exempt because he TECHNICALLY falls outside the maximum height requirements (no special treatment, just the actual limits already defined and laid out).

That's it. That's fucking it. No nepotism. No potential draft. Just complete made up horseshit. It's like saying "If we made drinking milk mandatory for people who are younger than 18, Baron Trump might be excluded because he's older than 18." Like, no fucking shit. That's not a news story, its like a hypothetical a child would come up with.

All of you need to go look in a fucking mirror and rethink your media literacy, because it's fucking garbage. You fucking idiots.

Yeah, just like Trump had bone spurs...

I question him being 6'9. Very conveniently just barely above the maximum of 6'8. I bet some independent doctor would measure him as 6'8 or less. So fuck you for defending some rich nepo fuck.

They seem to be cleverly letting everyone know that he's just barely too tall to get drafted, so that when they do the drafting eventually, no one will question why he wasn't drafted. Clever. Better than paying a doctor to diagnose you with bone spurs.

TL;DR - BARRON TRUMP BARRED FROM MILK DRIVE AS IRAN WAR SPARKS OUTRAGE!

[–] kieron115@startrek.website 11 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

Nearly 7 feet tall? JFC. Send that kid on a USO tour so the troops can check out the freak and at least get a good laugh.

[–] Lucelu2@lemmy.zip 0 points 6 hours ago

Bullshit. you are obviously either a bot or some partisan hack. Fuck Barron Trump. He is a rich boy. Rich boys don't get drafted. He is also some kind of freak. He would never be admitted to a military academy... unless of course they are directed by a Hegseth (MORON).

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 10 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

So much faux rage. Could you imagine if this guy read Fox News!?

[–] dnick@sh.itjust.works 25 points 18 hours ago (12 children)

The outrage might be a little over the top, but the sentiment is valid. Click baity shit like this is why no one pays attention to the actual outages going on.

If people are constantly seeing articles like 'Trump didn't say he would rule out pushing toddlers into wood chippers to combat climate change' and the article goes on to talk about how he was asked about what he had for breakfast, then outrage is a little hard to keep up. I actually think that's the worst/best tactic trump has used... Keep the outage going so steadily that people are worn out when the real stuff is out in the headlines.

[–] thlibos@thelemmy.club 1 points 9 hours ago

This sounds a little to close to “when they go low, we go high”. If the mainstream media had been willing to vilify Trump back in 2016 (even with lies of omission and sensational headlines), maybe he would have never gotten near the GOPedo nomination. Instead we have been fed a steady diet of civility and normalization.

Seems to exist all over Lemmy. I'm new around here, migrated from Reddit just a week ago, but this kind of post would get downvoted into nothingness over there. Not for the message, obviously, but for the self-righteous indignation, the name calling, for just being one big spoiled brat temper tantrum. So far, it's the only thing I miss.

Barron stands at a staggering 6’9’’ tall, meaning he may be too tall for the Army, particularly for specific roles involving restricted space like armored vehicles, tanks, or aircraft. Generally, max height limits (e.g., 80 inches/6'8" in the US Army) are enforced to ensure safety and fit within equipment.

At least a better reason that a heel spores diagnosis given by a doctor who rents an office off your father...

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 52 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Is he actually 6’9” or is he 6’9” the way his father is 6’3”? I wouldn’t be surprised if they just tell everyone he’s 6’9” to get him out of it if it comes down to a draft.

The Marines don't have a max height I believe.

If you're down with crayons you're good.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 11 points 22 hours ago (4 children)

Honestly with this I have doubts he's the full 6'9". Unless we have pics of him having to duck to enter rooms or something (a friend of mine is that tall, the standard American door frame is shorter than that). Anything above 6'6" is indistinguishable to most people and just registers as "holy fuck you're tall". And so yeah a "fucking hell you're tall" guy being given an extra inch or two on documents to avoid a draft is just extremely believable to me, especially when his dad is a draft dodge4 planning on starting a war.

Anyways I have no evidence but that's my little conspiracy theory

diagnosed President Trump with bone spurs as a favor to his father, Fred Trump, in order to help him avoid the military draft.

So Barron might be "too tall" to serve his country...? and even if he's not I'm sure we'll find out real quick that bone spurs run in the family.

It's so insane that it has always been standard practice for wealthy and powerful men to start wars then refuse to send their own children to fight, but it's especially egregious watching the Trump administration carry this shit out. The level of planning leading up to this to create another endless war seems so obvious in hindsight.

•Hegseth's "anti-woke" military speech

•Elimination of government loans for education (even for nursing and medical school, so only the wealthy can afford an education, let alone a deferment. If you're not born rich you have 2 options: take out private loans at a huge interest rate or join the army. Sign yourself over to the oligarchs one way or the other.)

•Up the country's birth rates (gotta gradually replace them as they die by the thousands at war)

•Openly admitting your goal is to eliminate the entire department of education. Because you don't need an education when your entire path birth to death has already been laid out for you:

You're born to serve while Trump and his oligarchs sit in their country club and move you around like a piece of plastic on a game board.

Life is hard and it seems like people are constantly fighting and dying around you from the moment you're born. It's all you know. Everyone around you is sick, destitute, and miserable. There are no jobs. You have no education. You know nothing but struggle and see no future for yourself.

The army is the only hand reaching out and offering to help pull you up, so you grab it.

Then you either die thousands of miles away from your home or you come back and spend the rest of your life wounded, without a doubt mentally and pretty often physically.

If you try to speak out against it or warn others, you're accused of being "woke." There is no hesitation to show you how little your rights, that you were told you were fighting for, mean to the people who sent you to fight.

I've been expecting this for a long time. Trump will definitely attempt a draft, with lots of loopholes for wealthy children.

I suspect that he'll announce it in early 2027, after the Midterms, and after the Holidays. You don't want this being the main subject of American families as they gather at Christmas. Wait until they're isolated in their homes in the January winter, then spring it on them.

I doubt it, or at least, I hope you're wrong. This would go down like a lead balloon if they did it. The war is super unpopular in the US, probably super, suuuper unpopular among military age young men... who are, broadly speaking, either far left, or anti-semitic...... like, a draft is a potential mass unrest inducing event. surely they won't do it

[–] Lucelu2@lemmy.zip 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Not true. Plenty of young people enlist for many reasons.. Some enlist for patriotism, some for the benefits, some for lack of options/poor employment options. People who don't enlist usually have better options.. or a least more choices. Military enlistment is usually a pragmatic or desperate decision. People who choose not to are not anti-semitic which is a strange accusation. We are citizens of the US, not Israel... they have their own draft. I do not know why that would even be a consideration for a 17-19 year old in the US. They are not exactly readers or followers of current events-- I mean, if they were intellectuals, they would be attending a college. Most of the enlistees come from economically depressed regions that don't offer them a bright future.

[–] bearboiblake@pawb.social 1 points 6 hours ago

I think you misunderstood my comment, we're talking about a draft, not voluntary enlistment. Fuck anyone who does voluntarily enlist though, supporting US imperialism and doing the bidding of the elite epstein-loving pedophilic ruling class is never justified, no matter how deprived or desperate your background, someone has it worse than you and isn't making immoral choices.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 44 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Trump wants unrest so he can instate martial law and begin his reign of terror in earnest.
