No, it's perfect : if he considers himself smart, he'll say the answer to the second question is yes, so that means that the answer to the first question should also be yes. And if he thinks that the first question should be no, then he gets to find out what that makes him.

Silly analogy. It leads me to wonder, though, if you can have a friendship with someone who you have nothing in common with.
You can have a friendship, but you'll be unlikely to be best friends.
But it's almost impossible to have absolutely nothing in common with another person.
I consider myself pretty smart.
My old roommate had this friend that would come over tho. And him...he's probably very lucky his first and last name are only four letters each, or he may still have trouble writing it to this day.
