His teachings were always political, we just sanitized it to be about pure abstract stuff.

just frustrated they teach Socrates as if he was the founder of philosophy while completely ignoring the effects of his theories in practice. They teach Socrates but never mention the 30tyrants, they teach the trial, but not the actual crime he was accused and found guilty of. Socrates didn't just talk about being philosophically humble, but against democracy and progress like reading and writing.
