I used to work in a grocery store that had a bailer in the back and yeah it's satisfying when it drops out perfect onto a jack to be wheeled off to a truck.

I always can't help thinking about how much garden mulching and pathing you could do with all the cardboard my store goes through.

Some of it very well may go to making mulch, depends on the recycler buying it off your store.

Ah ain't that satisfying, almost makes me miss my Costco days

Actually now that I think about it I do miss my Costco days, say what you will about their union busting techniques but I was better paid and less stressed when I was taking care of stocking the freezer than I am now. Only downside was working nights. Maybe I should see if they're hiring...

In my younger days me and another graveyard shifty filled one of those prim and proper, edge to edge, stacked like a deck of cards. We got too much cardboard in there. It weighed too much and it burst the metal tine when it came out. That was one of the scariest things I’ve ever heard because it moved too fast for eyes.

Oh wow, great memories

The smell, the sound of the hydraulics and the crunching. Man, I loved the bailing machine.
