Yeah, he talks about economic systems like they were discovered and implemented by researchers as if it's an engineering problem. It's a real cart-before-the-horse framing; these systems grew out of people's behaviors, and researchers just noticed and wrote about the trends that already existed.
Something something people are so propagandised that they can more easily imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism.
