will the “40+ woman” shot turn me into a milf, this is important

[–] catter@hexbear.net 15 points 2 months ago

Unfortunately it looks like it's only +40 to your woman stat. Still a good buff though.

Pretty sure this would be completely illegal in europe, definite is in the UK where advertising standards would not allow a product to pretend to be medical.

in America, our products have the freedom to be anything they want. 🇺🇲🇺🇲✝️🛐

When I worked at whole foods (lol) they'd have a lot of products like this, though less blatant and more woo type shit. Had a co-worker swear it prevented her from getting COVID because all of the ginger "cleaned her cells"

We ain't making it, dawg

starting to think that "everyone is 12" is inaccurate because it isn't harsh enough

Lady came through the pharmacy I work at to get some creams for her kid's rash. She had been putting oil of oregano on it, which hadn't worked, of course.

I googled it, and it tells me oil of oregano has great antimicrobial properties...for an essential oil. That's like saying it has excellent antimicrobial properties for a fuckin pizza sauce.

The word "May" is doing so much heavy lifting on that sentence

[–] microfiche@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Well it says it may help so there's a chance.

I mean, drinking piss may help reinforce your immune system so why aren't we doing that too?

it was very depressing over 2020-2021 when i had to watch people go down the health woo pipeline
having too little vitamin c makes your immune system worse → the more vitamin c you have the better your immune system → enough vitamin c will make you immune to covid
people who prey on that kind of thing should be redacted

That's the same exact same bottle poppers come in (Which are potentially lethal if you drink the liquid instead on huffing the fumes through your nose so don't do the former)

I don't know why the FDA (or whatever) doesn't mandate different shaped bottles. The "same bottle" problem exists for eye drops and ear drops. To avoid confusion - the last time I bought eye drops online - I went out of my way to get stuff that came in a different bottle that's sort of triangle shaped.

they exist to ensure profits not to help anyone

looking forward to the supreme court ruling that says they meet school vaccination requirements

[–] CarmineCatboy2@hexbear.net 4 points 2 months ago

no need. its probably classified as food - just sell it in the cafeteria.

[–] bestmiaou@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 2 months ago

any reasonable regulatory environment would treat that as a claim of medical efficacy that they should be required to prove with solid medical studies, but instead they can just put whatever in those bottles and no one even checks if there's lead in there.
