Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Oh my, so the Trump Kompromot is real!

[–] IronBird@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago (3 children)

starting to sound like a hooker piss video is the least offensive thing he might have done, considering that'd be atleast somewhat consensual right?

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Doubt it. There's no way to piss would've wanted to touch him.

[–] Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (2 children)

This is actually starting to make more sense. The whole Russian hotel/piss video thing always sounded like a weak variety of dirt to me. But if Epstein collected video or other proof that Trump was fucking children, and then have that to the kremlin... Well that is quite damaging information. That is leverage.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 2 months ago

Epstein did advise Putin in 2018, how to control TRUMP, and i would imagine it would evidence of child raping.

[–] IronBird@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

pedophilia does seem like the one line western culture can't accept being crossed, least once it's our in the open and putting their head in the sand doesn't work anymore

[–] duncan_bayne@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

at least somewhat consensual right?

Only if he weren't on fire.

[–] DeepThought42@lemmy.world 49 points 2 months ago

On one hand this sounds plausible, but on the other the article cites the Daily Mail, which is far as I'm concerned isn't the most credible source of factual information. I'll hold my judgement until this is corroborated by more reliable sources.

How does this square with his Israeli ties?

[–] sramder@lemmy.world 36 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Sounds like homeslice was playing every angle to me… selling secrets to the Israeli government on the side, working for the oligarchs as his main gig, and boffing Maxi-max just for fun. Truly a multitasker of the lowest order.

Fuck me… I sound mad as a hatter. Happy Sunday y’all. God bless America 🪨🇺🇸🦅

[–] Kyrgizion@lemmy.world 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He was not the spider in the middle of the web pulling the strings. He had people above him.

[–] sramder@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

I mean… dude might have just liked bony MILFs, but IMHO it still takes an above average juggler to keep that many huge balls in the air 😉

selling secrets to the Israeli government on the side

I don't think it was on the side. The Israelis, the Brits, and the Americans were his primary clientele.

Bob Barr's father - one of the OG CIA guys under Dulles - was the guy who recruited him out of school. And Robert Maxwell was deep in with MI5 when he started seeing Ghislaine.

I was reading an article recently mentioning how Russia keeps tabs on its Jewish population through some Israeli org. Lemme go find it.

Edit: Hmmm can’t find it again. Might be in my search history when I get home. But there was a clear link between Russia and Israeli intelligence.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 2 months ago

i wouldnt be surprised, they keep an eye on the muslim population too.

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He was first and foremost an opportunist. So, just like any american bourgeois.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 29 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Funny how our media always fails to mention Israel

[–] CmdrShepard49@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 months ago

"Epstein ran a honeypot for former Ottoman Empire territories" is probably the best we'd get.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 24 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wasn't Epstein with Mossad?

[–] fluffykittycat@slrpnk.net 16 points 2 months ago

Now confirmed

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you. Truly, nobody could have seen this coming, despite copious evidence going back decades.

I miss Bernie Mac.

websites with anti-fake sections don't smell reputable to me

[–] robocall@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's a Ukrainian government outlet. So definitely keen to highlight anything negative about Russia.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

gotcha i think it might be a translation issue then?

[–] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Can you expand on this? What does "anti-fake" mean to you, what does it mean to them? Is this something a lot of news outlets have? Is this the only one? I've never heard of this and I'm confused.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

See I'm confused by it too. I clicked on the link and there's an anti fake section. Dude says it's Ukrainian gov so I'll give it a grain of salt but I'm not sure.

The section is more visible on desktop than mobile, that may be the thing

[–] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

The articles under the "anti-fake" heading seem to mostly be about illuminating and countering Russian propaganda efforts, Russian disinformation campaigns, Russian media subversion, etc.

"Anti-fake" is a term that has apparently been applied to official legislative efforts to counter propaganda, disinfo, and media subversion around the world. I hadn't heard the term before, but I'm not seeing anything inherently suspect about it, under the circumstances.

Maybe it's just an appropriate response to the times.

Well, aside from the huge "do not pay attention to the man behind the curtain" that this entire article reeks of? freakin daily mail source. I can name no other news service that has it
