With all the IP Paramount owns, them doubling down on Star Trek is really odd. I think they have more concurrent shows right now than Star Wars. Hell I think Star Wars is down to just Ahsoka now, and a like one cartoon.
Edit: Went back to check and was unaware of the cancelled/concluded ones.
Star Trek currently just has this new series and Strange New Worlds, which has wrapped production on its final season. 🤷
At least this looks like it will add some variety.
I think they've done a decent job of giving each series its own tone and identity.
In any case, SFA and the remaining two SNW seasons are all we're going to be getting any time soon.
