Surely their jobs as essentially LLM middlemen are rock solid and in no danger of being disrupted in this future they imagine for themselves where all the dummies who questioned why we are scrambling to adopt nascent technology to replace every facet of our lives, got left behind. Whatever that means...
More importantly what does not getting left behind look like? Nobody actually cares that somebody can use AI to code something or to write a press release. If you're not somebody who was already deemed socially important in the offline world, you'll probably get left behind anyway.
